This chapter is so long XD
// Labor //
You woke up next to Bucky in your shared bed. When you looked over to your nightstand, you saw that the alarm clock read 11:15, so you figured it was about time to get up and get some cereal. You moved to get out of bed, only to hear Bucky groan as he swung his arm across your belly to keep you in place.
"Five more minutes," he begged, causing you to giggle slightly.
"Buck, I want cereal," you explained. With a grunt, he let go of you, allowing you to leave. He rolled back over and snuggled into the blankets. You made your way down the hall and downstairs to the kitchen. Rummaging through the cupboards, your eyes landed on a box of Lucky Charms, which you greedily snatched up. As you were pouring the sugary deliciousness into a bowl, an odd sensation came over you. When you looked down, fluid was running down your legs and pooling on the ground. It hit you that your water had broken.
"Bucky! It's happening!" you screamed.
"WHAT?! *crash*" was all you heard. Quick, booming footsteps made their way toward you.
"I'm coming!" he yelled, but the poor soul forgot he had fuzzy socks on. As soon as he made it into the kitchen, he slid and fell flat on his back.
"Did you just fall out of bed and then fall on the kitchen floor?!"
"Maybe."
"Bucky we don't have time for this!" you groaned.
"I know! Where's the bag?" he asked. It dawned on both of you that your bag of extra clothes for the hospital was left in your car, the one you let Steve borrow a few days ago. "I'll text Steve later, let's go!"
You both rushed to the car with him supporting almost all of your weight. He put a towel down on the passenger seat and helped you sit down, then he practically sprinted for the drivers side. Without hesitation, he backed out of the driveway and sped down the road. You grabbed his phone, which was hooked up to the car Bluetooth, and you called Steve.
"Hello?" he answered.
"Hey Steve, we're on our way to the hospital. Y/N's in labor," Bucky explained.
"Aye, the baby's coming!" Steve exclaimed. Suddenly you heard all the avengers in the background cheering for you guys, causing you two to smile.
"Steve, can you get Y/N's spare clothes out of the back of her car?" Bucky requested.
"Sure, you want me to bring the whole team?" Steve inquired.
"Obviously, we have a mini Avenger on the way!" Bucky exclaimed.
"We're on our way," Steve replied, ending the call.
In the midst of all your contractions, it felt like an eternity before you finally made it to the hospital, but once you did you were thrown into a whirlwind of nurses and doctors, rushing you to a room and hooking you up to different machines. Before you knew it, you were given pain medication, and suddenly you were able to relax.
"Are you feeling ok?" Bucky asked with a face full of worry.
"I'm fine, babe. This medicine works great," you chuckled, helping him to calm down a bit.
"Can we come in?" you heard Wanda say from the door.
"Of course," Bucky smiled. With that, the entire team filed into the room and greeted you.
"Excuse me," said the nurse. "Only three people can be in here at once."
There was an unspoken agreement amongst the avengers; Natasha and Wanda would be the ones to stay in the room, while the others sat in the waiting room. Wanda gushed about all the things she was going to buy for the baby once it was born. No one had really bought clothes or anything yet, since you and Bucky chose to have the gender be a surprise. Natasha feigned disinterest in the gender, since she was mainly focused on how she was going to teach the kid to shoot, but she secretly hoped it would be a girl. Everyone on earth knew what Tony wanted; it was no secret. He wanted it to be a boy, named Anthony Jr.. Obviously, that was not going to happen in a million years. Steve just wanted to see his two best friends be happy.
