>> Steve <<

For months now, Steve has been utterly obsessed with finding Bucky. You understood why, of course, but things were getting tense. Sometimes Steve wouldn't sleep, he almost never answered your calls or texts, and he never spent any time with you. If he did, his mind was on Bucky the whole time. You wanted so badly to be supportive, but your patience was running out. You and Steve planned to have dinner at his apartment tonight, so naturally you dressed up and made sure your hair and makeup were perfect. Once you got to his place you let yourself in, but it was unusually quiet inside.

"Steve?" you called out. Silence. "Steve!"

The only sounds heard were the echoes of your voice throughout the empty apartment. You searched high and low, in every room, but he was nowhere to be found. Sighing, you made your way back to the kitchen where you found a note.

I need a rain check on dinner. I got a lead. -S

You slumped into one of the bar stools and buried your face in your hands, staring at the note in front of you. Then, in a sudden burst of anger, you grabbed the paper and tore it to shreds, chucking the pieces to the ground. As they fluttered slowly to the floor, you realized that you couldn't keep playing this game. It was time for you to do something. You picked up a pen and a blank piece of paper from the table and started writing a letter. As the words were transferred from your hand to the page, your sadness began to manifest itself in the way of overflowing tears. Before you knew it, you were placing your pen back on the table and walking out of Steve's front door with no plan of return.

Steve's POV

I rubbed my eyes as I slumped into my apartment and dropped my duffel bag on the floor. I made my way to the kitchen to grab a quick snack before going to bed, but something on the floor caught my eye. I recognized it as the note that I left for Y/N, but now it was ripped up and scattered. I then noticed another paper, a replacement for the note that I left. I opened it and recognized Y/N's graceful handwriting.

Dear Steve,

Before I say anything, I want you to know that I love you. I wouldn't be where I am if I didn't have you. Thank you for having my back for so long. You're my world, but apparently I'm not yours, and I won't ask you to pretend anymore. I know Bucky is more important to you than I am, and that's fine. Friendship is important, and you should hold onto it. I hope you find him so that you can finally settle down and find a way to be happy. I love you so much, don't forget that.

-Y/N

A dried tear stain distorted the ink on her name, and I slumped to the ground. She's gone, and it's completely my fault. What have I done?

>> Tony <<

(You take the place of Pepper Potts in this situation. You're his executive assistant and his girlfriend.)

You were completely exhausted when you stumbled through the door of Tony's house. Kicking off your shoes, you made your way into the living room, only to be greeted by a robot.

"Miss Y/N, Mr. Stark has requested that I give you this," it said, extending a metal arm to hand you a twenty dollar bill with a note attached that read "Pizza. -T"

Absolutely fed up with Tony, you stomped down to his lab. Once there, you threw the door open and burst in.

"What is this?!" you roared.

"Good evening to you, too," he smirked, continuing with his work. You marched right up to him and slammed the money down in front of him.

"I spend all day, every day out there, cleaning up your messes and doing your bidding. Then I come home, and how am I repaid? Some robot hands me a twenty for pizza because you can't possibly be bothered to order it yourself!" you ranted.
