"Sorry." I clear my throat a little. "But I actually have plans to meet up with someone."

"Oh I see. It's alright with me. If you ever get bored or need someone to sit by let me know." Nic smiles. I smile back. Before I turn away he slips his hand into mine.

"Wait! Before you go. Can I get your number?" Quickly I insert my number into his phone. He smiles as he takes it back.

"Thanks." He grins down and reads my name on the phone screen. "See you later Janie."

"You too!" I turn away and my eyes meet with Jack. He looks hurt. Of course from his perspective it probably looked like he had badly gotten ditched.

I walk towards him with sympathy gleaming in my eyes. When he sees me walking towards him a smile appears on his face. He perks up back into his self. The person I met when he slammed the locker next to mine.

"Hey Neighbor!" He says waving his hand high enough for the whole cafeteria to see. I giggle.

"What's up Jack?" I say through my amusement and giggles. He smiles.

"I thought I almost got ditched!"

"No I wouldn't ever ditch you Neighbor." I tease with him. I can feel how awkward I am.

"Alright then." He smiles. We grab our lunches and sit at a table. Suddenly I find myself sitting next to a familiar face. The one with freckles around his nose and painting his cheek. The one who's hair looks so soft you could fall asleep in I️t.

The face that somehow makes me feel guilty. I don't understand how! Suddenly my phone vibrates.

Unknown: Hey Mate! It's Nic.

I shove the phone into my pocket quickly. I had forgotten to hit send to tell Finn I️ couldn't sit with him. He faces me with hurt eyes.

"You could've told me you weren't interested instead of leaving me on read." He whispers.

"Finn I'm sorry! I just forgot to..." he turns his head away and continues to talk to a few friends. One of the girls who I think goes by Ayla.

Nervously I turn back to Jack.

"You know Finn?" He asks tilting his head slightly to the left. I bite my lip slightly.

"I️ met him in one of my classes." I say he shrugs it off and bites into his pizza.

"Why?" I ask. My curiosity is now getting the best of me.

"Oh no reason. I guess I've never talked to him. My ex left me for him. That's all I know." Again he shrugs me off.

I suddenly feel bad. Bad for Jack. Bad for Finn. I feel bad for Nic who was so nice to me and I turned him down. How am I suppose to deal with three attractive boys who don't even talk with each other?
