I sit on my bed completely bored for a while scrolling through Instagram. Today was completely exhausting. Suddenly I remember Jack wanting to hang out.

Quickly I sit up. I click out of instagram and decide to call him since I was way too lazy to text.

"Hello?" He answers.

"Hey Jack! Did you still want to hang out?" I ask.

"For sure! What do you want to do?" He asks his voice working at a fast paste.

"How about you come to my house and we will figure out what we want to do from there!" I say smiling even though he couldn't see me.

"I'll be there soon!"

I get up and run my fingers through my hair. running downstairs I make two plates of some brownies we had a couple nights ago for my brothers birthday. I then pour two glasses of orange juice.

I mainly do this because I am starving, and I knew he would be over before I stuffed my face and felt satisfied. Suddenly there is a knock on the door.

I run across the kitchen letting my socks glide on the dark wooden floors as I reach the door.

"Jack!" I say smiling and giving him a hug. He hugs back.

"Janie!" He says just as enthusiastically.

"Want some brownies? I was just about to eat and got you some too." I say. He nods and we head back into the kitchen. I sit on a stool at the bar, and Jack follows my example.

We sit and eat. It's a little awkward at first but soon we start talking like we've know each other our whole lives.

Soon my phone vibrates. I quickly pull it out.

Haylee: can you come over?

Me: sorry I got busy!! Maybe tomorrow?

Haylee: sure! See you tomorrow <3

After we finish we make my way up to my room. I plop onto my bed and laugh at Jack and his impressions.

"So which one do you like better? Jake Paul or Logan Paul?" He says in a serious tone.

"I don't even know who that is!" I laugh. He jumps onto the bed and lays next to me.

"Perhaps you'll recognize this one?" He asks doing an amazing impersonation or Timmy Turner from the fairly odd parents.

"Of course I know that one!" I laugh harder. In the conversation he manages to change his voice into sponge bob's and Batman.

"Stop Jack! My ribs hurts!" I say holding my stomach. I wipe tears from my eyes as he cracks more and more jokes.

"I'm sorry. I can't help myself! I'm just naturally funny."

"Well stop being funny!" I giggle attempting to sit up and gasp for air. He now is laughing too.

"How about we watch a movie?"

"Okay which one do you wanna watch?"

"How about Jaws?" I crinkle my nose.

"I hate that movie! I have the biggest fear of sharks. What about Jurassic Park?" I say.

"Well you see I have a fear of dinosaurs." He says shaking his head.

"Really?"

"Yes its a very serious matter. It isn't to be taken lightly." I giggle a little. Finally we both agree on Indiana Jones.

I pop a bag of popcorn and we watch the movie until I'm called down for dinner. We head down stairs and I start walking Jack to the door.

"Jack would you like to stay for dinner?" My mom says. I smile at him waiting for his answer.

"That sounds incredible! But unfortunately I have to get home. I've got loads of homework to do. Thank you though Mrs. Swan." He says waving and smiling.

"Aw okay." I say making a dramatic sad face.

"I had a ton of fun! Thanks for hanging out with me today Janie!" He says hugging me.

"Of course Jack! It was the best! Thanks for being my friend!" I say.
