Jason was the tallest boy in the group. His dark brown spikey hair, brought out his baby blue eyes. He had a muscular build and dark ovile skin. He lived with his Grampa Bo. When he was only five his mother went to prison, for having drugs in her black winter coat. They weren't actually hers though. Her friend, told her to hold them, she listened and she got caught. She was put into jail for three years. Jason doesn't have a clue where his mom could be. Three days before Jason's birthday, his father passed away. He never woke up one morning. Jason didn't know much about death before his father. He was took in by his Grampa Bo.
Jason Cooper hung out with a crew of eight. Four girls, four boys. He was 16 years old. His grampa didn't make much money. Just five hundred every two weeks. Jason had a job, to help his grampa. He made two hundred every two weeks. They survived on it though, some times it was tough, but they always got through it.
Jason's childhood wasn't normal. He was constantly moving. He had lived in Flordia, Nevada, Ohio, Montana and Minnesota. He was living in Minnesota with his Grampa Bo, now. When Jason was seven, he cut off two fingers. His dad took him to the hospital. They replaced them in the next two months.
His mom had once won 25,000 dollars on lottery, but she just spent it on drugs. She got addicted at 26, and put in jail at 34. Jason's dad Marvin, knew she was selling her body for drugs. He had never said anything to her before, because he didn't want to hurt Jason.
Jason's dad was an amazing dad. In the nine years he spent with him, he sure taught him a lot. He always was playing football and basketball with him. Those were his favorite sports. He played football at least everyday. He talked about basketball at least four times in a hour. Marvin wanted to be a basketball player when he was sixteen, seventeen. He always clamied he was never good enough.
He loved juice, apple, orange, grape or cherry. He had a glass every morning. His favorite color was sliver or grey. He liked to make up funny little songs and sing them in weird voices. His robot voice was great. Grampa Bo loved when he did that.
Now that Jason is older now, he can take care of himself. He has no sliblings, but his entire life he begged his mom to have a baby. He didn't even care if it was a girl, just somebody to play with. For his birthday, he would get board games but you always needed to play with somebody. His dad would play once in a while, but not all the time.
Bo has rules.
No friends can come over.
Every night you must be in bed by 1:30am.
You can't take more than seven minutes in the shower.
Don't slam your door.
No eating in your room.
Clean your room twice a week.
Make your bed every morning.
No pop past midnight.
His rules would be hard to follow sometimes, but Jason thought it was better than going to a foster home. Not knowing what the dad might do to you. Make you cook, clean even more, scream, yell, shout in your ear. Just thinking about it makes Jason shiver.
Jason always wanted to know more about his mother. All he remebered of her is her dark hazel eyes and the way her shirt used to be tucked in at all times. She loved buttons and pins. She would bring Jason a different colored button every week. Now, the only button he still has is a pink one, which he doesn't like very much.
He remembered one time when they went to a park, she was chasing Jason around, she could barely run. She was swaying back and forth. Jason knew something was wrong with his mommy, so he called for his dad. He was in the port-a-potty. Turns out she was okay. Just a lot of drinks. Marvin took her home and then Marvin took Jason swimming. He didn't want Jason thinking about his mom.
Jason Cooper was a wonderful and proud kid. But yet, he still cried himself to sleep thinking about memories with his mom and dad. He missed them so much, when he was thriteen he wrote a song about it.
I miss you
I hope you know
I was just thinking
About you
And I was wondering
If you miss me. Baybe!
He loved that song and memorized it. He sang it every time he was bored or sad or lonely. He hated being lonely. Being lonely to him felt like he had no friends, and he never let that happen. Even if he had to pay, he always would have a friend or two.
His group all knew about his life, family and the way he was. They told him about themselves too. His friends really have helped him through his rough times.
He was never into girls. He only had four girlfriends. Zuri: She was mean and all about herself. Nothing good about her. Dawn: She was sweet. But she cheated on Jason twice- That was the end of it. Judy: She was great. But he met her when he living in Montana. When he had to move he was so upset. He didn't cry though. Robyn: She lasted about two days. Slob!!! When Jason wanted to break up with her, she told everyone she was going to kill herself. Then one day, she disappered. Yay?!?!?!? Jason's lovelife wasn't that great- but at least he had one. Some guys at 16 have never kissed a girl.
