y/n

an hour later, we decided that it was time for us to part ways. stan departed earlier as he was late to practice reading the torah with his father. bill had then left on his bike, silver, yelling a loud "hi-yo silver, away!" as he went.

that leaves me. good old y/n l/n walking to the music shop alone. i walked into the shop with my head down, determined to find something to spend the money i had on a vinyl or a cassette. (or, of course, to stan. who was trying to save all that he could so that he could buy a new pair of binoculars.)

i entered the new arrivals section of the shop, not bothering to look at the other sections that i've looked at a quarter of a million times or more. i went through the crates of vinyls and cassette tapes. determined to find what i was looking for without the help of anyone.

"fuck, yes!" i heard an all too familiar voice say beside me. "hey, skinny-dipper. watcha lookin' for?" he asked as i suddenly saw the cassette he was holding. songs from the big chair.

"fuck, richie! where did you find that?!" i exclaimed as i jumped over to him. "woah, you listen to tears for fears?!" he exclaimed back as i still stared at the cassette. "by the way, that's not the first time i'll be hearing you say my name like that, WINK WONK!!"

"shut up tras-" i paused when i saw a bunch of tapes and vinyls for songs from a big chair. i hastily picked one up and sighed. "so you listen to them too?"

"yeah," i replied and looked up at him. "w-wanna line up together?" i asked and hoped for an approval. he nodded.

we bonded over tears for fears, david bowie, and so many things we didn't know about each other. we ended up talking all the way to my house, which he lived five houses west from, and we stood in front of my porch while talking for ten minutes.

i sighed, "you're actually pretty cool, tozier."

"i'd say the same about you, shortie." i looked at him with tired eyes, "get some sleep, alright, y/n? schoolwork may be light on us recently but it's not gonna be soon."

"i will, richie. goodnight." i smiled at him and hopped up my porch and rang the doorbell.

"don't tell your parents that you bought me the tape!" i yelled over before he disappeared from my line of sight. "they won't find out! and if they do, it's my fault for offering!!"
