As I stepped out of the airport, I instantly regretted everything. My parents were divorced and fighting over me, they both offered me to be with them in my summer vacations, but instead, I decided to go over to my older brother's house for the summer. But as soon as the hot Florida sun hit me, I wanted to go back. My brother lived in Miami; Miami Beach. I mean, literally had a house right in front of the beach. His pick-up truck strode in to the airport parking lot, and I climbed in and we rode on.
"Hey! Jess, how are you?" said my brother Pete, as he hugged me.
"Great" I lied.
I was sick of being in the airplane, and I was all gooey and sticky and sweaty. I turned the radio on, and instantly country music boomed out of the stereo. Go figure. My brother was a Taylor swift lunatic, if you could call it that. It was depressing.
"So, how've you been? I've missed you so much! You're so much taller, and your hair is long!" said Pete.
As I touched a strand of my long, blond hair, I remembered how short my hair had been a year ago. If you looked at me and Pete, you could hardly tell we were related. He had sloppy, brown hair and soft brown eyes, and I had long, blond hair and green eyes.
"I've been alright, what about you?" I said.
"Ermm... not much" Pete said.
Great... not in the mood for talking. I watched the ocean and sunny Miami, until suddenly; we arrived at a big, white, two story house. Pete was rich. He had invented a web page online and had gained millions of dollars. We both climbed out the car, and went into the house. It was huge. I mean, REALLY huge. It had a big living room and kitchen, a master bedroom, 3 guest bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms.
"So... um... just choose whichever room you like, jess, and feel free to explore. I'm going out... be back at 9:00. Bye" Pete said, twitching nervously.
"Oh, ok! Bye!" I said watching him step into his car.
Another girl. I think Pete might've had like 45 girlfriends all over his life, and he was only 25.
As I explored the house, I chose my room, dropped my things, grabbed my bag and went out for a stroll. Miami was sure hot. Hotter than New York, anyways. I removed by sneaker, and let my feet touch the soft Miami sand. The ocean was beautiful. In New York, the sun was not so bright and the ocean was not so blue. I shifted my view, and saw a group of teenagers; they looked about my age, 17. I wished for them not to spot me, but they instantly saw me.
"Hey! You're Jess, right? Pete's sister?" said a skinny girl that had brown caramel hair.
"Yeah... hey" I said.
"Oh... yeah I haven't introduced myself! I'm Ashley, Lena's sister... My sis is dating your brother... he told me all about you" Said Ashley.
She was really pretty. She was hanging out with some guys and two girls.
I smiled.
"So... New York, huh?" Ashley said, checking out my outfit.
Oh crap, I had put whatever I had grabbed first, and it wasn't pretty.
"Yeah..." I said, nodding.
"Ash! C'mon! Are you coming?" Said a hot tall guy.
"Oh yeah right. You wanna come, jess?" Ashley said, turning away from me.
"No thanks, I gotta get going" I said.
"Oh okay... see you around, I guess" Ashley said.
"Yeah, bye!" I said, turning my back on them and leaving. I headed for some stores on the sidewalk. Not watching my step, I bumped into a guy, and smashed his slushy in my face and his.
"I'm so sorry!" I whimpered.
"Watch your step" said the guy.
Gosh, he was rude. I looked up at him, he was tall, built up, and had sloppy brown hair and shiny blue eyes. God, he was cute.
"I said I'm sorry" I whined.
"Shove your sorry up your ass, and step out of my way" The guy said, frowning at me.
I tripped, hit my face, and then, I blacked out.
