Okay, I admit I kinda over reacted with jake spying on me... but it was totally wrong! Why did he follow me? He couldn't stop me from liking Andrew, it was my life! As soon as I got home, I charged for my bed and instantly fell asleep. As I woke up next morning, I realized I had slept in my clothes, and my hair was a complete mess. I quickly took a shower, slipped on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, and headed downstairs. Damn, I was hungry. I realized I had nothing for dinner.

"Hey jess" a voice interrupted me from my thoughts. It was Pete.

"Hey Pete, I didn't know you were here" I said.

"I didn't see you last night, you didn't come down for dinner," he said shyly.

"Yeah, I was kinda tired" I managed to say.

We didn't talk much, he said Ashley had come looking for me, but she just left when she figured out I was sleeping. I stood up, and went to the door.

Where you going?" Pete said between munches of his food.

"Out" I knew he wouldn't let me just slip, so I ran for it.

"Wait! Jess" Pete screamed.

I wanted to see Andrew, but I didn't know were he was, neither Ashley, so I went to the boardwalk, and decided to shop a little. I entered a bunch of shops and bought a bikini, a pair of ray-bans, and a cute top. I put on my sunglasses, and headed for starbucks. Ugh, I wanted some juice. I got an orange juice, and and orange chocolate chip muffin. Mmmm tasted like heaven. I was calm, until I spotted jake, and started hyperventilating. I so not wanted to see him, so I hid behind my shades. But he still saw me.

"Hey, jess!" he said, coming towards me. I walked the other direction.

"Jess, wait up C'mon, lets talk" jake said as he approached me.

"Leave me alone" I groaned. I got to the beach and walked in the soft sand.

"Hey" he said. Ugh, he had reached me.

"Hey" I said, trying not to sound like a zombie.

"About yesterday, I wasn't spying on you." Jake said.

"Yeah right, don't lie to me, jake" I mumbled.

"I just saw you with him, that's all, and Andrew had that look in his face, I know it, i've seen it before" he said, a frown crossing his face.

"What look, what are you talking about?" I asked.

"He just wants to get in your pants, im only trying to protect you," he said.

"I don't even know you!" I shouted. "Um, I think you haven't noticed, but I'm your neighbor" he said, laughing. Wait, and I hadn't noticed? He was my neighbor? Oh great, just great.

"And, my brother is your brothers best friend."

"Wait, matt? Matt is your brother?" I said. "Yeah, you know him?"

"Of course, i"ve know him since I was like, 15, he never mentioned he had a little brother"

"Oh" he said, I had left him speechless.

"Yeah" I said.

"Still, if your brother hasn't told you yet, we're having dinner at my place today" he said. I lost it. I couldn't believe Pete hadn't mentioned that. Well, I ran from him in the morning. Gosh, great. Who the hell did he think he was?

"Jess, hello?" said jake.

"Sorry, I spaced out" I croaked.

"I need to go..." I said. And headed for my house.
