The day was here, it was exams day. Bakugou had woken up, his hands already shaking. For once, he was beyond nervous. They had finished their final exams quirk wise a week or so ago, all that was left was the written exams. The blonde was on wits end. He just lay in his boyfriends arms, waiting for their alarm to go off. His heart was pumping out of his chest, his grip on Kirishima's shirt as tight as it could ever get. The blonde was beginning to hyperventilate, but didn't wanna wake his partner. He also needed sleep, he was taking the test too. As his breaths became more and more shallow, the blonde couldn't stand being alone anymore, shaking the redhead. No words would leave his mouth, his state of panic extreme. Since he's never felt this before, he was scared as all hell. No, he was terrified. Tears started dribbling down his face, no noise leaving him. The redheads eyes soon flew open, fully awake. He was a little frantic a first, soon moving himself to a sitting position, pulling the blonde up with him. Bakugou now rest in the tallers lap, his breathing still shallow and uneven, tears running down his face.
"Katsuki, Katsuki it's okay. Breath in, breath out, everything is going to be okay. I'm here, you're safe." Words fell from Kirishima's mouth, calming the blonde just enough to try and control his breathing. In, out, in, out. The blonde kept repeating the pattern until he stopped hyperventilating, choking out a soft sob. Fingers ran through the blondes hair, pulling him back to reality. Hiding his face away in Kirishima's shoulder, the blonde began crying silently, a strong grip on the tallers nightshirt. He was beginning to calm down, until a soft beeping noise came from Bakugou's phone. It was time to get up. The redhead let out a soft whimper, petting the blondes hair gently. Bakugou wasn't ready. He didn't have a chance to fully calm down yet. It was heartbreaking to watch, espically for the redhead. Bakugou climbed off of Kirishima's lap, sniffling as he wiped the remaining tears from his eyes. He just had to keep telling himself he was going to be okay.
"Babe-- come here." Kirishima whispered, getting off the bed. As the redhead opened his arms, the blonde ran into them, accepting the hug willingly. Kirishima was like air to Bakugou, he couldn't live without him. Wrapping his arms a little tighter around his boyfriend, Bakugou forced himself to smile. Kirishima was here, and that alone meant he was going to be okay. When they both pulled away, the blonde smiled up at the taller, putting Kirishima at ease. He knew Bakugou could do this, he was strong.
Both boys then began getting ready, Kirishima taking any chance he got to wrap his arms around the blonde, hold his hand, anything. Maybe that little extra affection would help calm him down a little. After they finished getting ready, Kirishima had an idea. Running over to his closet, he pulled out his scarf and hat, handing them to the blonde.
"Here Katsuki, wear these. Maybe it'll help calm you down?" Kirishima told the blonde, smiling. As his boyfriend took the offer, Kirishima began thinking, it wasn't only for that reason. If the blonde started crying, he could always hide his face away behind the scarf and hat. He wanted to preserve his boyfriends pride as much as possible. On their way to the classroom, Kirishima realized they were completely out of the closet now. He could whatever he wanted. Reaching out for the smallers hand, the other quickly took it. They didn't even lace their fingers, just holding each others hands. It was quite nice, being able to show they loved each other. They passed a few of their classmates on the way there, letting go of eachothers hands as soon as they made it to the classroom. It was testing time. This year, the redhead and blonde sat across the classroom from one another. It really sucked. As they sat down in their sets, Aizawa came in the door, the test ready to begin.
Around halfway through the test, Kirishima decided to check on Bakugou. Turning to look at his boyfriend, he saw his hat and scarf pulled all the way over his face, laser focused on the test. The redhead knew he was probably crying. It was so hard for him not to just get up and run to the back of the room, and scoop up the blonde in his arms. Clenching his fists, the redhead turned back to his test, focusing. He had to do this.
When the bell finally rang, Kirishima let out a soft sigh. He had finished around 10 minutes beforehand, watching the blonde finish his test. He finished 5 minutes after Kirishima. They both handed their tests in, the redhead soon running over to the blonde. He needed to make sure he was okay. Looking into his boyfriends eyes, Kirishima could tell he was crying. The redhead didn't hesitate, grabbing the blondes hand and pulling him out of the classroom. They were now free to go, a two week break standing in front of them. That alone made the redhead estatic, he'd have time to heal Bakugou. Hopefully, he'd be back to normal by Christmas day.
When they arrived back to their dorm, Bakugou pulled off his hat and scarf, revealing his tear stained face. Kirishima just pulled the blonde into a hug, running his hands up and down his back. Bakugou sniffled, hugging the taller boy back.
"T-Thanks for the hat and scarf, you saved me there."
"It was nothing. I'm so proud of you Katsuki. You made it."
