*UNNECESSARY ANGST; THAT'S BASICALLY THIS WHOLE STORY BUT STILL, IT GETS REALLY SAD FROM HERE ON OUT*
Kirishima finished wrapping the gifts he had gotten for Bakugou, hiding them away on the top shelf of their closet behind some sweaters. The redhead smiled softly, he knew he did well. There was one gift, and Kirishima was way to excited to give it to Bakugou. He decided he was going to give it to him today. While his blonde boyfriend was still in the gym, Kirishima decided to take a nap. Placing the gift on the bedside table, the redhead flopped down onto their bed, still in his pajamas.
When Bakugou returned to his dorm, his opened the door to find Kirishima sleeping quietly on their bed. There was a wrapped gift placed on the bedside table, finished with a ribbon and a bow. The blonde smiled softly, Kirishima was so good at wrapping presents. Pulling the towel from around his neck, he lay down on the bed as well, curling himself into the redheads chest. He fell asleep in the tallers arms within minutes.
Around an hour later, Kirishima awoke, his small blonde boyfriend curled in his arms. Smiling down at Bakugou, he pressed a kiss to his forehead. This somehow woke him, his eyes fluttering open to meet his boyfriends.
"Katsuki, you know that gifts for you right?" Kirishima muttered, getting a soft smile from the blonde. When he sat up, Bakugou followed, grabbing the present from the bedside table. The two moved themselves around, the blonde now sitting comfortably in between the redheads legs. As Bakugou teared through the paper, the redhead wrapped his arms around the blondes waist, his chin resting atop the smallers head. Lifting the lid of the box, the blonde choked slightly. It was a pair of figure skates. An extremely simple pair for beginners, but they were figure skates. Bakugou could easily tell, by the large toe pick and black leather. They were beautiful.
"E-Eijirou...I really don't...deserve these." Bakugou muttered out quietly, placing them on the bed. The blonde turned around in his partners lap, resting his head on Kirishima's shoulder. Looking down at the blonde, Kirishima wrapped his arms tightly around him.
"Yes you do. You're the best boyfriend I could ever ask for." Kirishima whispered softly, resting his chin atop the blonde head. Bakugou didn't say anything in reply, just hugging the taller back. They just sat there, holding each other closely. Kirishima's mind just wondered, what could he say to make Bakugou feel better? What could he do to heal the wounds in his heart?
"Katsuki. Let's dance." The idea was a little cheesy, but it seemed to work. The whole thing itself was cheesy. Bakugou nodded, pulling his head off the redheads shoulder. As Bakugou got off the bed, Kirishima grabbed his phone. He opened up youtube, searching up the song he knew would be perfect. Setting it down on the bed, Kirishima walked over to his boyfriend, placing his hands on his waist. The blonde complied, resting both his hands on the redheads shoulders. Music began coming from the redheads phone.
'I found a love, for me. Darling just dive right in, follow my lead.'
Kirishima began swaying softly to the music, Bakugou soon following. They both knew the song. The blonde turned away from redhead, his face flushing pink. Kirishima knew how blushy this song made him, smiling. It was perfect.
'Well I found a girl, beautiful and sweet. I never knew you were the someone waiting for me.'
The redhead watched as the blonde got more and more flustered. Bakugou stepped forward, head now on his boyfriend's shoulder. Hands were now around the smallest waist, his hands around Kirishima's neck. They never really danced like this before, but it worked. Kirishima giggled, maybe now Bakugou could see how much he loved him.
'Cause we were just kids when we fell in love. Not knowing what it was. I will not give you up this time.'
Thinking back to their time apart, the pair began to realize how much they've been through together. They've been together for so long, fighting things side by side physically and mentally. Yea, they were still 'kids', but that wasn't going to change anything. They could mature together.
'But darling, just kiss me slow, your heart is all I own. And in your eyes you're holding mine.'
Kirishima leaned down, pressing his lips to the blondes head. The redhead felt a soft huff against his shoulder, giggling. He knew how red the blondes face was without even seeing in. Wanting to see, the redhead lifted up Bakugou's chin. His face was bright red, tears somewhat welling on his waterline. Bakugou used to never cry, but now he was basically a crying mess. Kirishima guessed it must be the stress, that maybe he'll go back to being a strong, happy boy once again. The redhead hated seeing his boyfriend cry.
'Baby, I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight'
"Katsuki don't you dare ever say that you don't deserve anything, cause you deserve the world. I'm so lucky to have you here by my side. We've been through so much together, and I wouldn't trade these months with you for anything. So to me, you truly are, perfect." Kirishima muttered softly, a few tears escaping the blondes eyes. Bakugou squealed, pulling away from his boyfriend and running over to turn off the music. Those words were just too much for Bakugou to handle. His mother's condition had gotten worse, deciding to keep it to himself until the topic came up again. There was no need to bring up depressing topics.
"Katsuki..." Kirishima was cut off when Bakugou ran back over to him, hugging him tightly. The redhead hugged him back, smiling when he heard the words he needed to hear leave Bakugou's mouth.
"Thank you Eijirou...thank you s-so much."
