I can't remember much that happened after that because I just took off. I sprinted all the way down the street, barely feeling my feet as I trampled over sharp rocks and sticks. I didn't stop running at the end of the road, I hit the tree line and kept in going, dodging through the thick bush, not caring about the brands scratching my face. I couldn't hear the normal sounds of birds singing and animals rustling. All I could hear was my own heart pounding in my ears and the sound of Dad's voice telling me that everything was fine
