Unknown POV

When I saw the avian go down, I was excited to bring back my prize to my father to prove I am not just a little girl too weak to do anything.

I got down from my well camouflaged tree stand and went to go track it down.

After I found a blood trail I could taste victory and pride, but after the trail went dry near a giant pine I went well...nuts.

After shooting a couple random birds and then throwing my gun into a bush, my mind was cleared.

"Okay think, where could it have gone?" I thought.

I looked around for clues or anything and after a couple minutes of looking around, I noticed there was footsteps close to the tree, but it didn't belong to the female avian since it didn't wear shoes.

"Someone helped you...but who?" I mummered.

Then I spotted something under some dead pine needles.

I moved the needles away and saw it was a small knife.

I picked it up and saw there was something written on it.

After a couple minutes making out what was written on the handle, I knew who help it.

"I never thought in a million years that you would run into one" I said looking down at the name Joel Wing in neat handwriting.
