I was humming to the beat of my music, cleaning up my room. That was until I was rudely interrupted by mother dearest. I turned around with a smile, until I saw the worried look on her face. "Mom, What's wrong?" I tilted my head at her as she held up her phone. "There was a shooting, Archie and Fred where involved, they're at the hospital."That's all it took for me to go running down the stairs, grabbing her car keys, and speeding off to the hospital. I tried my best not to think of the worst, that maybe, Archie and Fred where just getting questioned cause they where eye witnesses. But what if Archie was hurt?
I didn't even bother locking the car. I ran as fast as I could into the building. As soon as I opened the double doors for the waiting room I saw Archie pacing back and forth, with his body covered in blood. It was all slow motion, I brought Archie into a hug. With his head in the crook of my neck and his arms trying to pull me closer than possible, my arms quickly found their way around his neck, and my hands running through the nape of his hair.
We felt others hug us. I could tell it was the rest of our friends, by the smell of Betty's flowery perfume smell. We all sat down, and Archie started to explain to us everything that happened, "I came out the bathroom, and there was this man, this thief wearing this hood with a gun pointed at Pop Tate then pointed at my dad and fired." Archie's voice started to crack, I grabbed his hand with a squeeze.
"Oh, my God Archie." Betty muttered loud enough for us to hear. "Then he-" Archie stopped. "Then he what?" Veronica asked. "Then he bolted. I was holding my dad, Pop Tate was calling an ambulance, it didn't come so I drove here. I don't know, maybe I should have waited, maybe I made it worse-"
"Archie, you did nothing wrong." I scooted closer to him, with a worried look. "No, dude are you kidding me? You saved your dads life, first Cheryl, now your dads. I think you'll need a super hero name." Jughead patted Archie's back, making me smile. "There isn't any new information with your dad. Your dad's in surgery, he's going to be there for a while." Alice looked down at Archie, but not a word came out of his mouth. Hermione kneeled down, "Archie, have you spoke to your mother about any of this yet?"
"No, nah, I haven't called her." Archie stood up quickly, taking me along with him. "Archie, you sure you don't want to be alone to tell your mom?" I asked Archie as he pulled out his phone. "I just really need you to be here, Mace." Archie sent me a sad look making me nod. Archie started talking on the phone, sitting on the wooden bench. I walked off a bit, giving Archie and his mom some privacy. Once he got off the phone I sat next to him.
...
"I can't believe this is happening ." I rubbed my eyes, pulling at my hair as Archie gave the Sherriff a statement, Jughead there for support. "Hey, Macy, it's gong to be okay." Betty patted my back. "What if its not. I just don't want Archie to go through the same thing as me, and then he shuts us all out, then-"
"Hey, that won't happen." Veronica kneeled down to me, wiping a tear off my cheek. "There are certain things that no one does better than Veronica lodge and that's, makeovers, party planning, dance offs." Betty and I chuckled at the mention of the dance off that happened with Cheryl and her. "But there are things I'm not good at. Grief, comforting best friends." Veronica frowned as she sat back in her seat.
"V, I think you're doing perfectly fine right now." I sent her a smile. "Macy, how did you get here? I don't see your mom anywhere here." Betty tilted her head confused. "I drove." I said in shock. I hadn't realized it until now. "Guys I drove!" The two girls furrowed there brows before I explained everything with what happened with my father.
"Girls." Veronica looked up at Archie as he was talking to one of the surgeons, we all walked up to them. "I'm your fathers doctor."
A/n: just a little sneak peak of what should be coming very soon! Hope you enjoy!
