"This is gorgeous!" I looked around with a huge grin on my face.

"Betty, Macy wait until you see the inside." We all walked into the house together. "Archie and I kissed before Jughead got a call. We all followed Betty outside. "Who was it Jug?" Betty smiled at her boyfriend.

"It was Cheryl. She said you and Archie kissed in front of her house. Right before Christmas." By the look of Archie's face Cheryl was telling the truth. Tears brimmed my eyes as I took of the ring that Archie had given me. "So much for not hurting me right?" I slammed the ring to his chest before storming off down the road to who knows where.

So many things where going through my mind. Is that why he was so distant when he got home that night? Did I do something to make him do something like that?

"Macy! Macy!" Archie yelled my name through the cold air as I wiped away tears. "What Archie? Do you want me to not be angry with you after you kissed my very first friend here? Or how you didn't mention it to me? You cheated, Archie. After I let you in on so much. I trusted you with everything and you," I through a rock at him. "You betrayed me! We are done!"

"Hey, hey. You don't mean that. We love each other, remember?" Archie tried puling me to his chest. "With trust comes Love Archie. and you obviously don't trust me." I pushed him away and walked into the Lodge. I looked at him with a pout before groaning, "I know I can't. No ones else knows my favorites from Pop's like you do." I grunted, stomping my foot like a little kid. Archie chuckled before walking over and wiping any left over tears.

"I love you." He kissed me. "That kiss meant absolutely nothing and it will never happen again with anyone at all. You're the only girl for me Macy Martinez." He kissed me again just after placing the promise ring back onto my ring finger. "And I love you Archie Andrews." I wrapped my arms around his neck with a smile.

Later that day we where all in the living room of the Lodges when Jughead proposed a toast, "To the lodges, to their hospitality and to putting the past behind us." Everyone said their cheers before taking a sip of the jalapeño margaritas.

"So your parents come up here a lot these days?" Jughead asks. "Not as much as they'd like." Veronica said confoundedly. "They're crazy. If I owned this I'd be coming here to get away from everyone and walk around naked with a refrigerator full of food." I leaned back thinking of the possibility.

"Naked?" Archie perked up before leaning in, only to come in contact with my hand and push him the other way. "Woah there cowboy!" I laughed before kissing his cheek to show I was kidding while he pouted.  "V, tell us more about your fancy neighbors." Betty seemed to try to throw Jughead off of Veronica's dad making me furrow my brows. "Yeah, are they in the same business as your dad?" Betty's head snapped to the direction of  her boyfriend. "Jughead! I mean it." Betty kept a smile on, but sent Jughead a warning look. Archie sat up straight before asking them what was going on.

"Betty, I'm just making idle conversation. I'm sorry, please continue." Jughead and Veronica where never close to each other, but cared for each other. It wasn't a surprise tension was building up between them, but mostly on Jughead side. "It's a hodgepodge really, some are in entertainment, some are in business, some are in real estate." Veronica continued taking a sip of her drink.

"You know what's weird? As we were driving up here, I noticed that none of the houses had mailboxes or numbers or anything on them." Jughead leaned back with confusion written all over his face. "Oh no! Veronica brought us here to kill us." I thought for a second after waving my hands around acting scared, then stopped. "Wait, you're not right?"

"No, Macy. Shadow lake is a pretty private community." Veronica smiled at me after explaining. "Like they're hiding something?" Jughead quickly commented.

"Jesus, Jug! Not everything has to be a mystery you know." I folded my arms over my chest. "Jughead, seriously, this isn't 20 questions." Betty sat up, once again giving Jughead a look. Veronica grabbed my hand and leaned in towards Archie and I to whisper something, "Toxic twin alert. I knew things weren't kosher in the state of Bughead." She leaned away before clearing her throat. "Guys, I'm picking up on some residual tension from, I'm guessing, Cheryl's Random Act of Cruelty earlier."

Bughead started denying it, but Veronica continued, "Which is understandable. Fear you not though, I have just the antidote."Veronica grinned widely making me stare at the alcohol she gave us earlier. "Please, no more drinks!" I groaned slouching on the couch. "No Macy, Step one. Clothes off, swimsuits on."
