Jacob's POV

We got on the bus, me standing behind Annie. Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned to look at her. Even the boys I hang out with at the back of the bus turned around.
"Straight to the back."
I whispered in her ear, she nodded slightly and walked her way up to the back. Me following closely behind her.
She stopped at a spare seat, and looked up at the boys."Move over James."
He looked at me, and nodded. Then slid across a few seats.
"Who are you my lovely lady?"
I watched as Annie hesitated, but she still sat down.
"It's Annie... You're.... James?"
James's smile reached his ears.
"That I am... Jacob?"
He gestured to Annie, and I took a seat next to her.
"She is staying with my family for a while. Be nice to her."
James nodded again.
"That I will be. This here is Ryan."
He gestured to the boy sitting next to him.
I noticed how Annie was starting to relax a bit, let her guard down. I was happy, but nervous at the same time."Nice to meet you Ryan."
She said extending her hand. He happily shook it.
"It is nice to meet you."
We sat in silence for a few seconds.
"So.... You guys in year 10?"
I looked at her as she hesitated more, she was anxious while waiting for the answer. Ryan spoke first, calming her down.
"Yes we are, I'm guessing you are too?"
"I am. So what's it like, your school?"
When she didn't get a answer straight away she spoke again.
"Honest answers. I am going here now."
She glanced back at me, and I smiled at her. I loved the way she made friends.
"Well, the school is ok. I mean it's hard to get used to. But once you get used to it you'll be fine. Ryan?"
Ryan turned his head back up to Annie's face. It aggravated me where he was looking.
"Oh...um... Yeah the teachers are relatively nice, if you do as your told. I mean you, being new. You'll get a few warnings, blow to many warnings and it's detentions and principals office. And... Um.."
His eyes glanced back down to her chest, but I know that wasn't all he was looking at. I clicked my fingers in front of his face. His head shot straight up to look at mine, then he gave me an apologetic look.
"Um... Yeah, it's probably best you don't blow your warnings off because they will spread that around the teachers, then you're kinda screwed."
He looked back at me, giving me another apologetic look, then smiled at Annie.
"Thanks, I really was wandering how it would be."
She smiled at him, and I could see the gleam in his eyes when he retrieved that smile. It aggregated me so much. Annie was mine. Never his. I looked a Annie, then I realised she didn't have her tie on.
