Misunderstood

Chapter Thirty-Two

Jacob POV

I headed out into the halls wiping at my face, Ryan and James had come to visit. But seeing as Annie went into the fit, they couldnt come in. they sat upright when they saw me walk into the waiting room.

"Are you ok man?"

"Yeah, ill be good."

"How is she?"

Ryan asked me. I nodded then turned around, they followed by my side. i used a small card to get back in. The hospital had security cards for those staying with the patients, so they could get in and out of the hospital.

"She had gone into a fit, before you guys came through."

"So what is wrong with her?"

In a way that had sounded like an insult 'her', she had a name. I mean the only reason I'm annoyed is because of what is happening to Annie. I was scared out of my mind for her.

"Night terror's, she's in one at the moment."

"Will she come out of it?"

"I hope so Ryan."

We walked down the rest of the hall, until we got to our ward. I opened the door slightly, and Annie was still thrashing around luckily not as bad as last time. Stacy was still in there, to keep an eye on her. I smiled at Stacy, then turned back to the boys.

"She is still in a terror, come in if you want but you guys can leave when ever."

The boys followed me in, and i heard them gasp when they saw Annie.

"Would you like me to leave Jacob?"

Stacy asked me, now aware of our company.

"You can stay if you like, incase something happens."

"She hasnt been responding to me at all. Is there a chance she responds to you?"

"yea, she will probably respond to me."

I sat down on my bed and the boys joined me.

"Not responding, how?"

James asked me, as he looked at Annie.

"She doesn't respond to anyone when she is in a terror, except me. See she can only hear during terrors. As soon as she wakes up she loses hearing. This terror wasnt meant to happen."

"How long will she be in hospital for?"

I looked up at Stacy, and nodded. She obvisouley knew.

"Well, it was meant to be a few weeks."

She said as she checked Annie's temperature.

"But it will be about four weeks now."

I nodded at Stacy and she smiled.

"But school will be back in a week, you aren't going to take three weeks off are you?" James exclaimed.

"No, but i will tell head mistress about Annie, and hopefully dad can come in and stay with her. Or someone can look after her while I'm not here."

I got off the bed and walked over to Annie, she had stopped moving around, i took hold of her hand.

"Can you hear me, baby?"

Annie shifted her head.

"Ok, Ryan and James are here to visit. Stacy and I are here too."

She moved her head to the other side.

"Have you heard what we were talking about?"

Once again she moved her head. I leant down and kissed her cheeckbone.

"I love you Annie."

She shifted then stopped moving again. When i looked up the boys were looking at me and Annie. Weird wasnt it?

"We are going to stay for a while, keep you guys company."

James walked over to the bed that Annie lay in, as he said that.

"Hey Annie."

Ryan walked over to the foot of the bed.

"When will Annie wake up?"

"In about half an hour."

Stacy said.

"Jacob, I have a break now. Its only for ten minutes i will be back. Can you guys stay here until I'm back?"

I nodded.

"Of coarse."

Once Stacy had left I sat back on my bed.

"So what are you going to do with Amy?"

"Shut up, I don't know."

I answered to Ryan.

"Sorry it's just that...."

I pointed to Annie and the boys nodded.

"I just don't know what I'll do."

"She wants you man, and Annie has done her head in."

James was staying quiet, really quiet. The conversation was with Ryan.

"And how do you know that?"

"Well, she keeps coming to me asking about you. She won't stop bragging about how much Annie doesn't deserve you."

I glanced over at Annie. She still wasn't moving.

"She isn't listening Jacob! This is serious! What are you going to do?"

"I'm going to do nothing Ryan. I don't want her and she knows it. She can't have me..."

I kept my voice level, to show Annie, incase she was listening, that I don't care I don't want Amy.

"She doesn't like it but she will have to get used to it. What's she going to do about it?"

"She could hurt her."

"She wouldn't do that, Ryan."

"You haven't seen her, she would."

"James is that true?"

James looked up at me, snapping back to reality by the looks of it.

"Well, she could. Anyone could. But I don't think she will. I don't think you'll let her either. Actually I don't think any of the boys at school will. The boys have all taken a fancy to Annie."

"Since when have you felt like that?"

Ryan shouted at James, who was also keeping his voice level.

"For ages Ryan, she's untouchable."

"Ryan, since when has this been a problem?"

Ryan looked at me. Then back at James. He wouldn't answer me.

"Spill Ryan."

James said still laying back in his chair.

"Amy and Kyle are together, and Amy is using Kyle to get at Annie. After Annie is out of the picture she will want you."

That was a lot to take in.

"How do you know this, Ryan?"

I asked sitting up straight in the bed.

"My step sisters in town, and she over heard Amy talking about it with Kyle at the yards..."

".... She was going there to speak to Kyle. But it looks like someone else made it there first."

I put my hands up to my face, rubbing my face softly. This was a lot to take in.

At that moment the ward door opened with a small knock. It was Stacy, and she had a lot of files.

"I'm back."
