Misunderstood

Chapter Thirty-Five

Annie POV

Boy code definitely.

Not even one look my way between them three then James was announcing they were leaving.

"No, please stay."

He smiles at me. There wasn't much enthusiasm in my voice.

"We really must be off."

He says in a British accent and walks over to me planting a kiss on my cheek. Hugging farewell for the day.

"We will check up on you soon."

Ryan gave me a small, quick hug then they were off.

Jacob looked down at me. Then got up and went to the door. Flicking the lock he said.

"We deserve us time now.."

He looks at me, questioning. Waiting for my answer.

"I don't believe we do."

I say using a very innocent child's voice. He raises his eyebrows at me, then wiggles them sexily.

"Maybe I'll reconsider my decision."

I say as he walks towards me. I pull him down to me by his shirt.

"Just keep me awake, won't you?"

"You'll be awake alright."

He says with a laugh. I start nibbling on his neck.

"Promise me."

"I promise."

Definitely awake.

"What do you think?"

Jacob whispers in my ear. I lay with one leg across his, under the sheets. The other on top the sheets. My head on his bare chest, I look up at him to answer.

"Wonderful."

I whisper back. He kisses me on the forehead, then starts letting his hand roam down my sides. I watch looking from him to his hands. His still moments where he stops to look at me. His eyes shining with excitement, energy, love. I have owed him this much. For every night he has spent with me, every day he has kept me.

"I'm definitely awake. Don't you think?"

He smiles at me, and brings his hand to the top of my thigh.

"Definitely."

Everything was going good, actually great. Until a knock on the door reminded us where we were.

In my hospital bed, in the ward.

I start laughing and Jacob does too.

"I almost forgot, didn't you?"

I ask between laughs.

"I forgot altogether."

He says reaching for his clothes. I do the same, but grab a hospital gown instead.

"Just go into the bathroom, I'll be in soon."

I wink at him, and he sneaks in leaving his clothes near his bag. Once he is in the bathroom I walk to the door. Unlock it and open it slightly.

"Sorry, Annie. You need your medicine. Did I interrupt something?"

I smile and open the door fully to my nurse. This one wasn't Stacy.

"No, we interrupted the hospital I think."

I say with a small laugh, and she laughs along too.

"Well, teenagers have to do things sometimes. And it doesn't matter where you are. Annie been there done that."

She says giving me a glass of water and my medicin.

"Enjoy your night. Dinner will be served at six, if you want to come out and join us. It's only four now."

She left the room with a smile.

"Thank you."

I say and take my pills, then close the door. I walk into the bathroom. Talking and walking at the same time.

"I need a shower. So do you."

Jacob turns the tap on and gives me a kiss.

"Okay then."

He sets the temperature for me then goes to leave.

"Where are you going?"

I ask him, he looks back at me.

"To get dressed. Why?"

"Stay, I might need you."

He comes back and wraps his arms around me. Embracing me with a kiss.

"Okay, I will."
