My life in Riverdale

Riverdale

I didn't expect for my dad to tell me that we were moving to Riverdale but maybe it's a good thing, I was being bullied where I was so hopefully it will be better. I just hope to hell that I won't get bullied there, 'Welcome to Riverdale the town with PEP!' The faded but still colour filled sign showed, I swear we only left a minute ago....

Riverdale certainly wasn't short of people but yet a small and silent town, I looked across to dad who had a smile plastered on his near tan face, "what are you so happy about?" I asked with basically no expression, "being somewhere new," he replied. To be perfectly honest I wasn't happy moving, yeah it may be better but I had trouble getting the friends I had let alone trying to get new ones here. "Come on kiddo cheer up!"
"You know for a fact I can't do that,"
"Look I know you didn't like leaving your friends but...." I then cut him off,

"No you don't understand, it took me years to get the friends I had, I was alone for maybe two years! Then I met them, two people dad! I met two people," a single tear started to fill my eye, "and it was so difficult," by this time I was near struggling with my words, "this is going to be so much harder dad, I have to find new people..."
"I know, Piper surely it won't be so bad, and I know I may not understand but the thing is, if people don't like you for you then that's their problem."

We pulled up to an apartment complex and dad smiled and turned to get out of the car, I slowly pushed the door open and pushed myself out the door. I turned to the boot to get my bag but dad already had it out, he then shut the boot with his bag still inside. "Uhh dad, you left your bag in the boot, I'm pretty sure you've been slowly losing your mind over the years..."
"Piper I didn't grab my bag because I won't be living here, I am trusting you, now your 16, to live by yourself, I will be in a different apartment complex." He handed me three keys, each on their own key chain, "why are you giving me three keys dad?"

"One is for the apartment, one for your car, and one for if you get a roommate."
"THANK YOU SO SO SO SO MUCH!!!!" I nearly yelled while swinging my arms around his neck and hugging him tight. "Your welcome," he said laughing, "your cars that one," he pointed to a 1977 Chevy camaro, in the colour of midnight blue. My jaw dropped, "daddy this is my favourite car! How did you afford it?"
"Don't worry about that," he looked nervous but gave me a smile, "now I better go see you," he kissed my head and jumped in the car, I took my bag upstairs and unlocked my apartment.

The cream coloured walls went so well with the light grey carpet, I knew I could do a lot with it. "Damn, so I don't have furniture nore money to pay for furniture...." I told myself out loud, 'knock knock' someone knocked on my door, I turned and slowly took myself to the white apartment door to open it. "Hi?" There stood a taller boy with ginger hair, muscular, and his shirt showed the shape of his abs. "Hey, so I heard there was someone moving in next door, I'm not in this apartment complex but in the house next to your room," I looked out the window to see a older looking house, "that's it," he said pointing to it.

"So how's moving in?"
"Not great, I'm sorry I have to go, I have to call my dad to ask for some money to get some furniture, I'm Piper by the way Piper Smith."
"Archie Andrews," he stretched forward a hand and I took it and shook it slowly, "strong grip" he said letting go and then rubbing his knuckles, "I'm so sorry!"
"No sweat, so you don't have any money?"
"No, but I need some furniture in this place so I'm going to have to find some,"
"I know a place that's hiring if you don't mind being a waitress, and I could lend you the money, just pay me back."
"No I can't let you do that... But can you take me to the place that's hiring?"
"Sure, lets go," so I locked my apartment and we started walking to the place that's hiring, maybe making friends won't be so hard after all....

A/N Hey guys, I'm really sorry there's a lot of dialogue but I thought it needs it, if you don't like a lot of dialogue then please don't read this book, I'm the sort of writer who likes explaining things with conversations and not as much detail, so please don't send hate or anything but I will stop if lots of you don't like it....
