Jughead Jones

Pipers p.o.v
(Flashback)
"Jughead?"
"Yes Pip?"
"Please don't leave me, ever."
"Not a chance, we may only be fourteen but I will protect you, I promise," nobody liked me in the south side serpents, not even my own mother, but Jughead did, he loved me, I think. He told me he would protect me, and I believed him, all until the day a gang of serpents came to my trailer door, including Jughead.

"FP isn't happy with you Piper," one of the older gang members told me. "Why I did nothing wrong,"
"he sent us to take care of you," he replied. They started walking towards me, all I could do was keep stepping back until I felt the corner of the wall stab my back.

Tears followed by more tears travelled down my face and dropping to the floor, Jughead stepped forward to be facing me. Lifting his right hand he connects it with the right side of my face with great force. The sound echoed in my ears as I fell to the ground, more kicking and slapping happened from the other serpents until they thought they had dealt with me enough, but by the end, all I saw was the darkness all around me.

There's only one other thing I remember from that night, the hurt showing through his bloodshot eyes and tear stained face, maybe he didn't want to do that to me....

(End of flashback)

Archie's p.o.v

Why did she run off? What was she afraid of? I looked at Jughead, my face wrapped with the look of confusion, I ran towards the parking lot, "Archie just leave her!?!" I heard Betty call from behind, but I didn't stop.

Finally I spotted her car, her face shined through the window, as the sun hit her face just right, it had looked like she had been crying a lot. Holding her face as if she had been slapped by some villainous monster, it pained me to see her like this. I ran to the passenger side and knocked on the door softly, she jolted her soft brown eyes looking up at me, she then locked the door and a single tear made it's way down my cheek.

"Piper let me in, please..." She decided to unlock the doors and I quickly jumped into the seat next to her, I then sat with her, she was mainly silent, apart from a few sniffs here and there.

"Are you okay?"
"Yes Archie I'm fine,"
"Well that's definitely a lie,"
"Then why did you ask!?!"
"I'm sorry, but I need to know what's wrong, then I'll leave you alone,"
"Seriously Archie I just want to be left alone..."
"Piper..." I didn't get angry or upset with her, I just kept a comforting expression and tone to my voice. "In case you haven't noticed Archie, I'm weird, I'm a weirdo, I don't fit in, and I don't want to fit in, have you ever seen me without this stupid hat on?!? That's weird!!" (A/N yes Piper does wear a beanie like Jughead, and yes that is a Jughead quote I just used !!) "That's why I love you Piper..."

"What?" My face turned a deep red so I quickly looked down, "in a best friend sorta way,"
"Well if it's in that way, then I love you too," what's that supposed to mean? Oh well I'll leave it, and that's when we sat in the car for the rest of the miserable school day....
