Archie's p.o.v ( before meeting Piper )

I couldn't believe how bored I was, and hitting a basketball off the roof of my room probably wasn't a good idea, I suddenly heard a car pull into the driveway of the apartment complex next door, and decided to look out the window to see who it was, I'm nosy okay?

It was a girl, maybe 17? I don't know just a guess, she had black hair and was tallish from what I could tell, it was intriguing, I couldn't seem to look away, a man, must be her father, kissed her forehead and then headed off in his car, she turned and walked inside. I really want to greet her but it would take me forever to find out what apartment she has, I suddenly look at the room across from my window and see her there, her hands over her eyes, not like she was crying but as if she was stressed, at least now I know what apartment she's in....

"Dad I'm going out!" I yelled while running out the door, "okay!" I ran over and quickly rushed upstairs to the room across from my window, and then hesitation flooded through me, I lifted my hand slowly and knocked on the pure white door... There she was, the girl from the parking lot, she had freckles over her nose and beautiful hazel eyes, I know I have to get to know her. "Hi?"

"Hey, so I heard there was someone moving in next door, I'm not in this apartment complex but in the house next to your room." She looked behind her, obviously looking at the window to see my house, "that's it," I say pointing to it just so she knows it's the right one, she told me she had to go because she had to ring her dad to get some money, me reacting suddenly I told her that I could lend her money and she could pay it back, even though my dad and I were struggling with money anyway.

I told her about pops too, pops is a like a restaurant/cafe they are hiring a new waitress and she needs money so I thought why not. "No I can't let you do that, but could you take me to the place that's hiring?"
"Sure let's go," I told her, that's when we started heading down stairs and out to start walking to pops.

Pipers p.o.v

"I'm sorry we have to walk, I don't have a car yet,"
"You could have told me I have one," I told him, he just laughed, "a girl driving me around when I'm showing her around, not a chance,"
"Wow okay, you know what what's the name of this place?"
"Pops why?" I stopped walking, and started going back to my apartment, "where are you going?" I didn't say anything just headed home.

I grabbed my phone out, going into google maps I typed in pops, it was only a five minute drive, probably like a ten minute walk, I grabbed my car keys out of my pocket and unlocked the car, but heard footsteps behind me, "Piper what's wrong?" It was obviously Archie, "a girl can't drive around a guy that's showing her around?" I turned to him angrily, "that's not what I meant, I meant that I have a reputation to...." I cut him off, "a reputation, oh okay, so a reputation is more important than a girl driving, if you had asked if we could take my car I would have gotten you to drive anyway, see you later Archie."

With one foot before the other I got into the car, I guess he didn't know which car was mine before, when he saw it his eyes went wide. "Piper I'm sorry, I didn't mean reputation I can't choose words properly right now..."
"I'm sorry Archie, I don't believe you, I want this job, I'm going to get going..."
"Okay," he said as he slowly walked off with his head down and hands in his jean pockets.
