The problems we have to face

Jugheads p.o.v

"Archie, we need to talk...."
"Sure, what's up Jug?"
"Don't play dumb Archie! You know what you said to Piper!" Harper looked at me giving me the impression like she wants me to talk a little quieter, but I didn't listen, "yeah I do Jug, and I know that I meant it, she has nothing left here, not now that she wants to join the serpents! I love her Jug, but I can't date a serpent." His comment made me tremble, he loves her? Does she feel the same way? All the thoughts rushed through my head as I stayed silent.

"Jug, you there?"
"Yes Archie, what I don't understand, is how can you say you love her, and then say you can't date her because she's going to be a serpent? Why should it matter?" Piper stirred in the hospital bed, her hair was in a messy bun, she looked beautiful, like she always has. She rubbed her eyes and slowly opened them, her eyes went from Harper, and then to me. Her eyebrows furrowed and then she quickly sat up straight and started freaking out.

"Jughead? You there?"
"Arch, I gotta go..." She looked terrified, and I don't blame her, "Harper? What is he doing here?" Piper asked, Harper looked lost for words, "he wanted to see you Piper.." Piper then looked back at me and a tear started rolling down her porcelain cheek, I ran to the side of her bed and raised my hand to wipe away the tear, she winced. "Piper, I'm so sorry about what happened all those years ago, my dad wanted me to, for the serpents..."

She looked at me with sorrowful eyes, I started to walk away, then I hear a small sob, I quickly turned around and Piper was on the verge of crying. I've always hated seeing her cry, "Jughead I think you should go..." She told me quietly, so I nodded me head, and walked away.

Pipers p.o.v

I wanted Jughead there, don't get me wrong, but it still hurt, sometimes I feel as if the pain is still there, and all I want to do is hold him, but I can't. It still scares me, he still scares me.
"Piper are you okay?" Harper asked me, "could be better," I softly replied, "Jughead rang Archie..." I looked at her in confusion asking her to tell me why, "he asked him why he said all those things to you, he got pretty mad if I do say so myself..."

Archie ran in about 15 minutes later, "Piper I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to say all those things and I feel like a total jerk, I know you'll probably never talk to me again but" I cut him off, "Archie, it's okay... Come here," I said with my arms out signalling for a hug, he came over and accepted quickly. "I love you Piper...." I made myself look like I had fallen asleep on his shoulder, and he placed me down softly, I can't believe he loves me.... his words kept playing over and over in my head.

"I love you Piper...."
