Pops

Pipers p.o.v

I finally pulled into pops' parking lot, it looked more welcoming than I could have imagined, I made sure to lock my car and I headed inside, the guy at the front counter looked extremely excited as he heard the bell above the front door ring and he saw me walk inside.

"Hi there I'm Pop, I'm a happy to see a new face around here, what's your name?"
"Piper Smith, it's nice to meet you, I heard from somebody that your hiring?"
"Oh yes, I am looking for a new waitress,"
"do you have papers or something I need to fill out?"
"No don't need them I just need to know a little bit about you and it will be fine,"

"Okay, well my name is Piper Smith and I enjoy people's company, and mainly making and keeping people happy, I feel like waitressing would be a great job for me because even though I am more on the quiet side I enjoy people's company and could do some good work..."
"Well Piper you sound perfect for the job, your hired! Heres your uniform and you can start really whenever, when would you like to start?"

"Next week? It then gives me a week to move in fully,"
"Of course! Can I get you anything while your here?"
"Strawberry milkshake please,"
"Of course, just pick a booth and I'll bring it out for you,"
"Thank you,"

I took a booth close to the exit, mainly the only one left, pop soon brought out my milkshake and after I had finished it I left... Time to go home and unpack, with no furniture, I'm going to have to sleep on the floor....

Archie's p.o.v

I felt so bad for what I said to Piper, a reputation what was I thinking!?! She's so smart, I want a girl like that, she's so beautiful and perfect, I can't believe I'm crushing on her. Soon I hear a car come to a halt next to my window, I rush over to see it's Piper and run out the door, I see her enter the building and decide to follow, I'll knock on the door later.

It had been maybe half an hour since she walked inside, I waited outside the apartment complex and then went inside, I got to her room and knocked softly, she opened the door and saw me standing there, when she tried closing it again, I placed my hand on the door to make sure it wouldn't close until I had finished talking to her....

"Archie I don't have time for this, I need to figure out how to get some money before I start work on Monday,"
"You got the job at pops then?"
"Yeah, now I have to go,"
"Piper please don't, I need to talk to you,"
"Fine but make it quick,"
"The reason why I kept messing up was because I really want you to become one of my friends, and I didn't want to mess that up, I was trying to find the right words and kept screwing up, and I'm so so sorry...."

"Archie I'm sorry I have to go,"  she used force to make sure the door would close behind her, my eyes filled with tears but I managed to keep them in....

Pipers p.o.v

I used force to push the door closed after Archie and I's conversation, I slid down the other side of the door and started to cry, my first almost friend, gone in a blink of an eye, I'm so stupid...
