Character design is my favorite part of the book, think about the people you want to see in IRL but never appear. Now is the opportunity for them to come alive in your book, your world! Though the advice I am is going to be somewhat contradictory to what I just said in the previous sentence. The best drama come from real life, and the best stories come from history and I personally find that very true indeed. Personally when I want to create a new character, the first thing I think of is their flashy moments (can't help it), but when I writing that character, more then often times do I find myself unable to create any depth of make them feel real, that's because that character lacks base. And by base, I mean sample from real life. People from real life are the best prototypes for characters as they are living, breathing and constantly reenacting their character. Of course, the mere complexity of human emotions is too much for words to express, let alone the whole being. But what words can do is capture glimpse and moments of being of that person. Not going to in depth as I am going to break down character design into several parts, with this part more focused on appearance (just like the title said xd). You see, when you first see a person, you see their appearance, anything beneath that is invisible for now. Though I am sure we are all taught at a very young age, not to judge people by their appearance, but we all know deep down that more then often, we label someone just through mere appearance. So before you think about your character, think about your character's appearance, best if you can put it into detail, but not like down to a micro-organism detail. Because most of the first impression of your character is based on appearance, as everything else comes after that, and that next thing being none other then personality.
Lili: Main heroine of "I been teloported into a world determined by power level"
Height: Secret (⇀‸↼‶)
Weight: Ha? Why are you asking you hentai? (#'Д')
Appearance: "She appeared to be around her teens, petite build, stylish clothes, and shades to top it off. And when she turned, she seemed to have the rich kid swagger around her, but not douche at the same time. And the moment she lifted her shades I felt my heart skip a beat. Her eyes were like two shinning lakes under the moon light, and it took me a moment to realize, they were staring straight back at me."
