One of the most important human function, is the ability to "Feel". Feel could be emotions, it could be the mood, it could be thought of something, it could an impression of something...etc. And a character doesn't feel real or human until you can add feel to it.
"AGRHHHHHHHH!!!" I yelled in agonising pain, as the blade stuck into my chest.
Here I used the word agonising to describe my current state of emotion, and I also gave the obvious hint that a blade has been struck into my chest. So it only make sense that you know I am in pain.
"Even my dead grandmothers run faster then you!" Isa yelled.
Here though I didn't use the word angry here, you could still feel the anger in her voice. That's because how certain actions words are closed related or linked to a certain emotion, like how anger is related to yell here.
"I hate you master! MASTER BAKA!" Enju puffed her cheeks in loud complaint.
