Chapter Nine

Jeremy and Mike

"Damn, Jay you're quite the dog whisperer," Mike says smiling.
"Well I can talk to you can't I?" Jeremy says looking up.
Mike makes a stabbed in the heart motion.

"Okay, let's investigate further. There's gotta be something here that can tell us what happened," Jeremy says walking towards a chest.
He pulls out a bone, and gives it to the wolf. He enjoys his treat.

"Hey look," Mike says pointing to a double barrel shotgun. "That'll come in handy."
"Yeah, just don't shoot me!" Jeremy says as Mike gives him a 'really?' type look.
"Whatever, Jay," he mutters.

Jay reaches into a hole in the caged off area, and grabs the shotgun for Mike.
"Here, I don't know how well it would do
against a wendigo, but it'll do."
Both Jeremy and Mike hear dragging, coming from nearby.

"The hell?" Jeremy says.
They walk over to see a different Wendigo, dragging Ryan's body.

"Ryan! No!" Jeremy says quiet enough for it not to hear him.
"How the hell did that happen?" Mike asks.

Sean and Matt

The group hear Ryan's screams that are cut off quickly.

"Shit!" Chris says.
"I'll go check it out, Matt come with me," Sean says.
"Okay," Matt says following Sean.

They run down the hall and into the sewer, following the arrow Ryan left behind. They follow the same path Ryan took and then they see it. His lifeless body, being dragged by the wendigo.
His blood was all over the floors and walls.

"Jesus Christ!" Sean whispers.
"He's dead," Matt whispers.
"We gotta tell the others."

Jeremy and Mike

Jeremy checked one room, with Mike and the wolf close behind.
"What should we name him?" Mike asks.
"What?"
"The wolf. What should we name him?"
"I don't know man, um snowball."
"That's too girly!"
"Well we're trying to-
Jeremy is cut off by the boards below him breaking, sending him down one level.
"Shit! Jeremy you okay?"
"Yeah I'm I just-
SCREECH
"Shit," Mike says.

Matt and Jess

Matt and Sean run back up to the group, telling them the news.
"What? How?" Chris asks.
"That fucking thing crushed his head!" Sean says.
"Shit, god dammit!" Sam says.
"Listen we need to get Jeremy and Mike, we can't stay here!" Jess says.
"Yeah, if only I could walk!" Chris says.

"Okay, how about two of us find Jeremy and Mike, and the rest if you stay with Chris," Matt says.
"Is that really a good idea?" Sam asks.
"Well look at it this way, when Ryan went alone, he died," Jess says.
"Okay, whatever," Sam says. "I just worry."
"It'll be fine Sam, we'll find them," Matt says.
"Okay but, who's gonna go?" Ashley asks.
"Matt and I," Jess says.
"Um, okay," Matt says.

They walk to the manhole and climb down, Matt having to help Jess since she was still injured.
"You're hurt Jess, you shouldn't come along," Matt says when she gets down.
"I don't care, Matt I'm coming with you!" She says with a term look on her face.
"Okay, if you insist," he says.

Matt goes ahead to scout, after finding nothing Jess comes along.
"Let's hope they're alright. We don't want Sam to cry over Jay," Jess says.
"Yeah she likes him a lot," he says chuckling.
"I wonder what his next song will be if he survives," she says.
"Oh he asked me to be featured in it," Matt says.
"Why didn't neither of you say anything?" She asks.
"Well we were gonna tell you guys today but then this happened."
"Yeah, hey look it's the Sanatorium doors!" Jess says.

Jeremy and Mike

Jeremy sat up, he had a plank of wood lodged in his leg. The wendigo was right infront of him. He sat there, not moving.
The wendigo sniffed him, but didn't kill him. Jay realized that it was the same wendigo that dragged Ryan. But it was different than the one that got Robert.

It eventually left, leaving Jeremy helpless until Mike and Snowball came down to help him.

Mike made his way down the broken pieces of board. Snowball just jumped down like a badass.
(Because Snowball is a badass) Mike tripped on one of the broken pieces and came tumbling down.

"Never fear, prince Munroe is here!" He says getting up.
"Oh thank goodness," Jay says sarcastically.
"Even in the worst of times, we still find time to dick around," Mike says getting Jeremy up.
"Yeah, if Matt was here than it'd be better," Jeremy says laughing.
"Can you walk, Jay?"
"I was gonna ask you the same question, but yeah I can."

Matt and Jess

Matt opened the door to the Sanatorium, smelling the foul odor coming from inside. They looked around places the Jay and Mike missed. They even found a diary.

"This is Hannah's!" Jess says.
"Are you serious? Maybe we can find out what happened to her and Beth," Matt says.
Jessica opens the diary and begins to read.

December 15th, 2014
My leg is broken, I can't move. Beth is dead, there's no food, and I've been hearing strange noises. I need help now!

December 17th, 2014
I buried Beth, it was only right. I can barely walk but it's okay I guess. I still haven't found any food.

January 13th, 2015
I'm sorry Beth, there was no food. I had too. My rib cage was showing, I could barely move. I dug her up, I ate her. I had no choice.

January 15th, 2015
I feel stronger, my nails are getting longer like claws. My teeth, they've gotten sharper. My skin has gotten pale. My hair is falling out, and I've even gotten taller. I don't know what happened but I'm liking it.

"Did she describe the-
"Yep, she did," Matt cuts her off.
"Hannah's the wendigo," Jess mutters.

A/N I had a lot of fun writing this chapter, it's honestly my favorite. And I hope you liked that twist that isn't even surprising to anyone who played the game. But I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and I'll see you next time. See ya!
