Spring Flourishes

The world is awakening from its cold slumber

Oh! How the sun seems to bring warmth faster!

The snowdrops give their strength to peek out

A pure blanket of white slowly vanishes with a kiss

Soft colors fill in the blanks as time moves forward

Oh! Hear that sound? Look, see its source, a bird!

Animals come into view with little ones anew

Life is returning to the dead world, come out!

The golden hands of time renew the earth,

the arrival of the sun heralds rebirth.

Tree branches trade cloaks of snow for budding leaves

And the last hints of icicles melt away from the eaves.

Fields are slowly covered in flowers of blue, red, and white,

And the ice on the pond disappeared overnight.

Each spring brings new wonders, for better or worse,

More precious than diamonds, the new year unfolds.
