Chapter 5: Through The Eyes Of A Devil

"Gabriel I'm alright really" Said Cherry as she pulled Gabriel out of the hug.

"Did our Grandfather give you that marking?" Replied Gabriel as he kept looking into Cherry's eyes.

"You knew... he was the Devil?" Said Cherry as he eyes and face began to grow with horror and shock.

"I've known all along Cherry... I just had to keep it a secret from you" Replied Gabriel as he turned to look up at the sky.

"Why?" Said Cherry as she placed a hand on his shoulder.

Gabriel didn't give Cherry and answer, he walked off back to their friends. Cherry stayed there for a while, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed. She felt someone place a hand on her shoulder, Cherry turned around and looked at the person.

"Adrien..." Said Cherry as turned around to face the person.

"Are you alright Cherry?" Said Adrien as lent next to Cherry on the wall.

"I'm fine... really... you don't need to worry about me" Replied Cherry as she gave him a small smile, she was starting to walk away when Adrien grabbed her hand.

"Cherry... I actually came to see you to tell you something" Said Adrien as he pulled Cherry back a bit closer.

"What was it Adrien?" Replied Cherry as she stood in front of him and gazed into his eyes.

"Cherry... before you lost your memories... I and you were... together... as a couple" Said Adrien as he placed both his hands on Cherry's shoulders.

Cherry saw another image flash in her mind then began to feel faint. She started rubbing her head a bit, then started to collapse. Adrien quickly lent forward and caught Cherry in his arms. Cherry came back around quite quickly and shook her head.

"Adrien..." Said Cherry as she managed to get herself standing again, still in Adrien's arms.

"I remember... who you are... Adrien" Continued Cherry as she gazed back up at Adrien.

"Cherry... you... you do?" Replied Adrien as he hugged Cherry a bit tighter.

Cherry nodded as she put her arms around Adrien's neck. Adrien lowered his arms so they were around Cherry's waist. Cherry pushed her face forward and began to kiss Adrien. Adrien kissed her back. He was surprised that she would remember him and what they were. After a few moments they stopped and pulled away, still in each other's arms. Cherry still had her arms around Adrien's neck, she placed her head on his shoulder and started crying. Adrien placed a hand on the back of her head and gently pressed it against his chest.

"Don't worry Cherry... I'm here for you if you need me" Adrien said gently as he hugged Cherry tighter.

After the College day was over, Cherry and Gabriel went home. Cherry sat down at her desk and flicked through some of her sketches. It was about 7:30 before Cherry heard something move in her room.

"I must say... I didn't think my powers were that strong" Said a Voice from within the shadows of Cherry's room.

"You're the one who gave them to me... Mr Devil" Replied Cherry as she turned around to face him.

"Clever girl... even with me in the shadows... you can see me" Said the Devil as he leaned against the wall and crossed his arms.

"It's not to hard to work out anymore when you give such obvious clues" Replied Cherry as she folded her arms and lent back in her chair.

The Devil had a grin on his face as he stepped out into the light.

"Cherry... the discussion we had last night with your father... I want you to know the full truth of that story" Said the Devil as he drew closer to Cherry.

"What... what are you... gonna do?" Replied Cherry as she started to push her chair backwards away from the Devil.

"Trust me Cherry... it's going to hurt... but only temporary" Said The Devil as he placed a hand on Cherry's left eye.

Cherry saw smoke coming out of his hand again. The Devil put his other hand over her mouth, she was struggling and trying to scream. The pain was almost too much for her to handle this time. Cherry felt a new power course through her veins. The Devil finally finished what he was doing, he removed both his hands from her face. Suddenly Cherry fell to the floor and placed a hand over her eye, she removed her hand and saw blood dripping down her face.

"What... the f**k did you do?" Said Cherry as she began to pick herself up off the floor.

"Cover your other eye and you'll find out" Replied the Devil as a grin formed on his face.

Cherry placed her hand over her other eye. Suddenly she felt a sensation course through her veins again, slowly Cherry began to see what happened with her deal. Two men shaking hands, a child screaming in fear, two parents begging the Devil, Cherry begin born, a child growing up. Quickly Cherry took her hand away from her eye and started heavy breathing. She slowly turned to look into a mirror, her eye shocked her... another pentagram was marked into her eye.

"What... excatly is this?" Said Cherry as she turned to look at the Devil.

"That is the eye of the Devil" Replied the Devil as he placed a hand on Cherry's shoulder.

"That can show you any deal that has been made... it helps quite a lot when you want to remember all the details" Continued the Devil as he looked into Cherry's eyes.

Cherry's mind was racing with all different thoughts. She wasn't sure what to think anymore. But one thing Cherry could tell... who ever that family was... their child was still alive somewhere.
