Chapter 6: Old Memories Different Circumstances

"Grandfather... who was that family?" Said Cherry as she looked towards the Devil.

"You might not remember this... but the night you hit your head... there was a man, he was after you and Gabriel... something to do with your family... and an accident... well that was the father of that family" Replied the Devil as he placed a hand on Cherry's shoulder.

Cherry's eyes went wide with shock, another image flashed in her mind. She collapsed to the floor, heavy breathing, her mind racing.

"But... there hasn't been an accident Grandfather... not from that vision anyway" Said Cherry as she glanced up at her grandfather.

"That's the point... his son was never killed... he was just moved to a new home... your father didn't want anyone to die... he just wanted his father to suffer" Replied the Devil as he offered a hand to help Cherry up.

Gently Cherry grabbed his hand and stood herself up.

"Cherry listen... you can't tell anyone about this alright... only the people that need to know" Continued the Devil as he let go of her hand.

Cherry nodded and looked out of the window at the moon. She couldn't stop thinking about all that had just happened. Cherry needed to find that family and tell them the truth. Slowly she turned back around to look at the Devil but he was already gone. She shook her head and decided to go out for a walk.

The moon was high in the sky, stars shimmering through the entire sky. Slowly grey clouds covered the bright moon and the shimmering starts. Cherry looked up and saw the entire sky light up. Rain started to pour down, soaking Cherry within seconds. She wants to bothered by the rain and carried on walking down the path she once walked almost every night. Gently Cherry crossed her arms and started to rub her arms down.

After a while Cherry came to a lamp post. Slowly she stood under it and looked up at the blazing light. Suddenly another image flashed in her mind and she fell against the lamp post. Holding her head, and heavy breathing. Everything about this night felt to familar to her now. Steadily Cherry carried on walking in the lightning storm, she kept having this feeling like she was always being watched. Slowly the storm eased up and became easier to walk in.

Suddenly she heard a twig snap in the bushes. Quickly she whipped around to see what made the noise. Cherry braced herself for someone to jump out at her, but only a cat jumped out of the bush. Gently she sighed, relieved that it wasn't a person following her.

After a few minuets Cherry came across a bench and decided to sit down. Her mind was still so confused, she wasn't the same girl she once was. Cherry was turning into the Devil's heir. She was just resting, letting her mind settle and try to piece together who she was and what she was meant to be.

"Cherry" Shouted a voice in the distance.

Cherry looked in the direction of where the voice was coming from. She started to become tense thinking it was the man from the night she hit her head. It kept getting louder until the person came into view. Cherry sighed in relief as it was only her brother.

"Hey Cherry... you alright?" Said Gabriel as he walked over to Cherry and sat down next to her.

"Yeah... I just went on a walk to clear my head" Replied Cherry as she looked up at the now clear night, the moon giving a peaceful light on the ground.

Gabriel glanced to the side and noticed the pentagram in Cherry's eye.

"Huh what's grandfather been doing now... scaring you more... messing with your head again?" Said Gabriel as he glanced over at Cherry, with almost a look of disgust on his face.

"I don't know... why don't you ask him?" Snapped Cherry as she glared at her brother.

"I don't know... what to think... what to do... I'm so confused Gabriel... it's almost killing me on the inside" Cried Cherry as she out her head in her hands, a few tears fell from her eyes.

Gabriel wrapped his arms around Cherry and and pulled her closer to him. Gently he ran his hand up and down her, Cherry cried on Gabriel's shoulder.

"It's going to be alright Cherry, we'll get through this mess" Said Gabriel as he hugged Cherry tighter and kept on trying to comfort her. 

"Come on let's keep on walking, try and calm you down a bit" Continued Gabriel as he stood up and held a hand out to Cherry.

Gently Cherry grabbed his hand and stood up. They carried on walking, laughing, smiling, and enjoying the time with each other. Cherry still had the feeling she was being watched.

It was about half an hour later, Gabriel and Cherry were still talking a walk. Suddenly Gabriel and Cherry heard a vehicle driving behind them. Both of them turned around to see a black van driving down the road. All of a sudden a man jumped out of the side door on the van. Cherry backed away behind Gabriel, he put arm out in front of Cherry to try and protect her. The man pulled out a knife and started wielding it. Gabriel and Cherry slowly started backing away. Suddenly the man lunged forward and stabbed the knife into Gabriel's stomach. Gabriel collapsed to the floor clutching his stomach. Cherry gasped and backed away again.

"Cherry... RUN!" Shouted Gabriel while he was still clutching his stomach on the floor.

Cherry was about to run when the man grabbed her wrist pulling her back. He placed one arm around her waist and starting dragging Cherry backwards to the van. Cherry was struggling for her life.

"Gabriel!" Shouted Cherry while she help an arm out to try and reach him, suddenly the man threw her in the back of the van and got in.

He slammed the door shut and the van drove away as fast as possible. Cherry had her back against one of the van wall. The man evily grinned at her, as he pulled out rag out of his pocket.

"Please... don't hurt me" Pleaded Cherry as a few tears started to form in her eyes, she was worried about Gabriel.

The man just grinned at her, no answer, no nothing... it was just silent. Suddenly he grabbed Cherry's arm and pulled her closer to him. Quickly he placed the cloth over her mouth and nose. Cherry began to feel drowsy and felt herself drifting off to sleep.

"You're father is gonna pay for taking my son away from me" Whispered the man into Cherry's ear, while he placed a sac over her head.
