Chapter 16: A New Beginning

"Don't worry about it Cherry, I'll teach you what you need to know" Replied the Devil as he placed a hand on her shoulder, and gave her a small smile.

Cherry gave him a nod, then turned around to look over at Gabriel. Suddenly they heard people shouting outside the room. Cherry and Gabriel looked at each other then looked towards the door. Gabriel walked out of the room, and Cherry stayed back in the room with the Devil.

"What the hell are you doing here Frank?" Snapped Martin as he gave Frank a death stare, his eyes burning with flames.

"I've come to apologise Martin" Replied Frank in a calm tone, as emotions could be seen in his eyes.

Gabriel's eyes went wide with shook, why would he come here?

"Like Hell you have Frank" Spat Martin as he stare harden into a glare that could slice the world in half.

"I'm being honest Martin... your son came to me eailer and had... quiet the thing to say to me" Replied Frank as he glanced over to Gabriel, then back at Martin.

Martin looked over at Gabriel, he had an expression which was indescribable. He sighed then started walking over towards Gabriel. Suddenly Martin wrapped his arms around Gabriel and hugged him. Slowly Gabriel wrapped his arms around his dad and hugged him.

Suddenly Alex stepped out from behind his father. Martin glanced over and was shocked, his eyes filled with horror.

"Frank... is that... your son?" Stuttered Martin as he stood up straight and looked towards Frank.

Frank just nodded, knowing full well Martin had just lost his daughter because of him. Martin felt rage course through his body, then he gave up and felt depressed.

"Your daughter is the only reason why I have my son back" Said Frank as he held out a hand to shake Martin's hand.

"And I thank you for it" Continued Frank, as a look of sorrow filled his eyes.

Martin sighed then grabbed his hand and gave it a firm shake. The feud between them was now settled.

Gabriel opened the door slightly and descretly beckoned Cherry to come out. She stood next Gabriel, no one noticing at first.

"Father... Mother" Said Gabriel as he looked over towards his parents.

Martin and Elizabeth eyes filled with shock and horror. Both of them gasped, Elizabeth put a hand over her mouth, tears forming in her eyes. Martin had a couple of tears falling done his face. Slowly he walked over to Cherry and gently placed a hand on the side of her face. Quickly Cherry wrapped her arms around Martin and hugged him. Martin placed a hand on the back of her head and gently pressed it against his chest.

Slowly the Devil walked out of the room and leaned against the doorway. He looked back and forth between, Martin and Frank with a wide grin on his face.

"You two finally in an agreement?" Said the Devil as he continued to look back and forth between Frank and Martin, with a raised eyebrow.

Frank and Martin looked at each other then gave each other a strong nod. Adrien got up and stood next to Cherry. She looked up at him with a small smile and an adorable face. Gently he placed a hand on her hip and pulled her closer to him. Swiftfully Cherry wrapped her arms around him and hugged him. Gently he kissed her on the forehead, then ran a hand up and down her arm.

"Thank God you're alive Cherry" Whispered Adrien into Cherry's ear as a few tears formed in his eyes.

Cherry placed her head against his chest and rested against him. Suddenly one of the doctors came back, his jaw hit the floor when he saw Cherry alive.

"Martin and Elizabeth... seeing as your daughter... is somehow alive... I'd now like to keep her in a couple more days... to make sure the damage done to her spine... doesn't become any worse" Stuttered the doctor as he looked over towards the pair of them.

Martin and Elizabeth gave the doctor a nod and he walked away. Cherry felt her legs become a tiny bit weak, suddenly one of the gave way and she collapsed. Quickly Adrien grabbed her in his arms and helped her stand up before she hit the floor.

"Cherry are you alright?" Said Gabriel as he stepped forward towards her.

"I'm fine... I'm fine... it's just my leg that's all" Replied Cherry as she gave him a smile, hiding the fact all the pain she had received started hurting again.

"Maybe you should get back into bed and rest Cherry" Said Adrien as he placed one of Cherry's arms around his neck, trying to support her.

Slowly Adrien and Gabriel helped Cherry back into the room and sat her down on the edge of the bed. Frank looked over at Cherry feeling awful for what he did to her. Martin and Elizabeth walked into the room after Adrien and Gabriel and sat down on a couple of chairs. Matt stood beside Adrien and looked over towards Cherry. Frank and Alex stood in the door way, Frank feeling guilty. Now he knew that his son was actually alive, the pain he put on Martin and his family was unfixable.

Cherry looked down at the metal pentagram she had when she woke up. Slowly she put it on and looked down at it wondering... why did she wake up with it? Slowly she looked around the room at all the people there with her.

"Gabriel... what happened... when I was dead?" Said Cherry as she looked at him eyes filled with sadness.

"Well... I went to Adrien and told him... then I went to Frank's and gave him a piece of my mind" Replied Gabriel as he sat down on the bed next to Cherry and placed an arm around her.

There was silence for a couple of minuets. The room was a dead as the graves down below.

"If Gabriel didn't give me a piece of his mind... I wouldn't be here right now" Said Frank breaking the silence that covered the room.

"Is that where you went when you left the hospital eailer?" Said Martin as he glanced over towards Gabriel, with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes Father, I was so angry... so upset... I was filled with rage... I just had to do" Replied Gabriel as he looked at his father dead in the eye.

"Well now this has been settled... will you two finally stop fighting" Said the Devil as he glanced between Frank and Martin.

"To a new start" Said Martin as he held out a hand towards Frank.

"To a new start" Repeated Frank as he gripped Martin's hand gave it a strong shake.

The fighting between them has come to an end... but Cherry would become something much worse. The heir of Hell can be a very messy task...
