I sigh tossing in my bed ignoring my phone going off right beside my head on my pillow as someone was calling me, after it rings for 3rd damn time I decide to answer it groaning as I held it to my ear "hello?" I ask rubbing my eyes as I yawn hearing a soft chuckle on the other line "did I wake you? It's 3 in the afternoon" that familiar voice asked making me want to smile, how can he still have that affect on me? I giggle softly sitting up in bed "yeah you did actually and I'll never forgive you for that" i say to him getting out of bed "maybe I can change your mind today, I was thinking we could hang out go see one of the classics they're showing at the theatre" he explains to me as I think about it, they're showing classic movies from the 30's to the 70's all month I was hoping to go see one with Jim some time this week but he has work, I shrug my shoulders placing my phone on my desk putting it on speaker as I search for decent clothes to put on "sure I think it'd be fun" I tell him as I toss some clothes onto my bed "cool the show doesn't start until 5 so we could go to the cafe or something whatever you feel like doing" he tells me he sounded a bit nervous but I ignored it nodding my head "yeah I haven't ate yet so I'm starving" I tell him hearing him chuckle softly "okay I'll pick you up in about 20 minutes" he explains to me as I roll my eyes smiling slightly "okay see you then" I say picking my phone back up "yeah see you then, bye" he says and with that we both hang up and I put my phone back on my bed next to my clothes before going to take a quick shower. As I finish getting dressed I hear a knock at the front door looking at myself one last time before leaving my room

As I leave my room I bump into Jim as he looks at me "where are you going dressed so nice?" He asks a smile curling on his lips I didn't really want to tell him cause I didn't want him to get the wrong idea but I knew I didn't want to lie to him "Jason invited me to the movies" I mumble seeing him furrow his eyebrows "is it a date?" He asks crossing his arms and I shake my head placing a hand on his arm "no Jim its not a date" I tell him moving past him down the stairs "what is it then?" He asks following behind me "a friendly hangout" I say answering the door seeing Jason dressed casually as I smile looking up at him he smiles back "don't you look nice" he says looking to Jim "hello sir" Jason says but Jim shuts the door in his face making me jump at the sudden sound "what's wrong with him?" He asks as we walk to his truck I sigh getting inside "work problems" I lie buckling my seat belt watching him start the engine "well uhm what cafe do you want to go to?" He asks me driving away as I smile looking at him "our usual cafe we used to hang out at you know before you left" I say joking around with him as he glares at me smiling softly.
"I remember when we went here when we were like 10 our parents came along it was so awkward" he says chuckling softly as he took a drink from his cola and I giggled sipping my smoothie "you dragged me to the bathrooms cause you wanted to tell me something and you kissed me" I say to him shaking my head as I laugh remembering that moment "you were grossed out at first I think you even smacked me" he says pointing at me as I raise my eyebrows "oh yeah I did then I felt bad and kissed you again" I say remembering more causing him to laugh as he looks at his watch "it's almost time for the movie to start" he says scooting out of the booth leaving $10 on the table for the waitress as he goes to pay for the actual bill I go and wait by the door for him, he smiles at me opening the door as we leave the cafe getting in his car and driving to the movie theatre. As I order the popcorn Jason orders our drinks and candy we meet each other at the entrance into the movie, we were seeing 'pillow talk' one of my favorite movies ever, I find a seat not to close to the screen but not too far either sitting right in the middle of the row watching Jason as he sat beside me "this is my first time seeing this movie" he whispers to me as he unwraps his candy pouring a few into his hand "seriously? Well it's amazing you're gonna love it" I tell him seeing him nod as he smiles looking to the movie as it began to play.

I walk next to Jason our arms wrapped around each other as we make our way back to his truck "that was an amazing movie I was surprised it was so funny" he says laughing slightly "I know I was too when I first watched it" I explain to him as we got into his truck him starting it and drive off from the theatre "I was really wanting Jan to get with Jonathan though" he says not taking his eyes off the road "really? I wanted her with brad he's so handsome" I say with a small laugh looking to him "well that's absurd I'm young, I'm rich, I'm healthy, I'm good looking. I'm very good looking" Jason says reciting Jonathan's famous words making me giggle as I look to him and he looks at me a smile curling on his lips as he laughs too "this time it'll be different Jan you'll see, we'll go to Mexico it'll be like starting from scratch. I've never been married in Mexico" he says placing a hand in my hand that rested on my lap making me roll my eyes "Jonathan I just don't happen to love you" I say repeating Jan's words as he smiles looking back to the road as we pulled onto my street "well how do you know? Love isn't an opinion it's a chemical reaction, we haven't even kissed yet" he says leaning into me as I look at him I push him away "how can you remember all that after only watching it once?" I ask him as he laughs pulling over in front of my house "good memory" he says tapping his head as we got out of the car he walked me to my front door, it felt like old times before he left I didn't like it much because it made my heart race in my chest something I only wanted to feel with Jim, "tonight was fun Jason I'm glad we're friends again" I say as he pulls me in for a hug and I hug him back "me too Emily I missed you like crazy" he said as I felt him gripping onto my sweater jacket I smile sighing against his chest as I pull away from him "I uhm I missed you too Jason, I'm kinda tired so I'm gonna get to bed" I tell him as he nods his smile leaving his face "okay uhm Jade and I are gonna be hanging out tomorrow maybe you'd like to come" he tells me scratching the back of his neck a nervous smile curling on his lips again making me roll my eyes as I smile patting his shoulder "I'd like that Jason it'll be just like old times" I say giving him another hug before we said our good byes and I went inside walking up the stairs seeing Jim walking out of his office his eyes were tired as he looked at me "have fun?" He asks he sounded genuine not sarcastic surprisingly "yeah but I'm glad to be back home" I say going to hug him but he turns away "I'm tired Emily I'm going to sleep, good night" he says turning to go into his room as I sigh rolling my eyes and going back to my room.
