Chapter 1.6

-Present-

The sounds of metal colliding to each other blazed the afternoon further. The country's border had once again had it's fill of scarlet blood as one after another sacrificed for their home country's hope and future.

Li Yun, with his bow and arrow hurriedly find where his allies where. He saw Wei Xi Yan along with other gallant female warriors and the heroic male soldiers preparing themselves to fight near a tent.

Wei Xi Yan, noticing Li Yun's eyes directed to her, nodded. She hurriedly went to his direction and checked if he got injuries because she knew that the Crowned Prince General forbid Li Yun from joining the war preparation.

" Were you... hurt? "

Li Yun gently shook his head. He proudly showed his limbs that were still pretty attached to his body and his tanned skin which held no wounds in it.

" Wei Jie, did... our army initiated the attack this noon ? Did they did it while the enemies were eating. "

Seeing that Wei Xi Yan made a curt nod as a response made him arrived in a terrifying conclusion.

" Xiao Ping's death was suspicious. He was killed due to blood lost cause by a sword strike in a place somewhere in his chest. He was a talented soldier but he died like that.  Who killed him? The enemy troops are all happily eating at that time. Our army attacked sneakily unless... "

Unless an assasin or a spy was ordered to kill him. Li Yun touched his chin  then grabbed an arrow from his back, hold the bow with the other then aimed toward the enemy soldier as he and Wei Xi Yan run towards the battlegrounds.

" Thank you for the assist. "

Ling Xiao gratefully muttered under his breath to the young man  while fighting the enemy general.

" Wei Jie, we should talk about this scheme later. "

" En. "

The man and woman separated and joined the battle.

Li Yun aimed his arrow, here and there. He aimed at the enemies' heads with the help of the system's   instructions. He was like a sniper in modern times because of the system helping him accomplish his goals.

Wei Xi Yan was also hurling her spear. She even made a barbecue out of enemy sodiers. It was a funny sight but a little gross.

The crowned prince general was also suceeding in killing the enemy's general. They were fighting one- on- one fairly with swords that when a poison arrow
was suddenly launch towards their direction. It was aimed at Ling Xiao's and he didn't had the time to dodge it for he was fighting and he just let it pierce him.

Ling Xiao let it be because once the arrow succeeded, he will extract the poison out of himself with the help of the royal physician. He was confident with the royal physician he brought from the capital towards the border for the reason that he was reknowed to administering poisons.

Li Yun who saw the peculiar arrow directed at his mission's body,  launched an arrow from his bow to intercept it. The two arrows hurriedly collided in the air and dropped at the same time.

The enemy general who gave a sign to his ally to launch a poisoned arrow to Ling Xiao was suprised. He din't thought that it would be intercepted. Because of his suprise, he was caught off guard when the prince hacked his sword toward his arm. It was chopped and the red liquid squirted like a fountain.

The enemy general clutched his bleeding armless shoulder. He prepared to flee when a cold voice that came from hell was conveyed towards him.

" You will not leave this place, ALIVE! "
