Chapter 2.1 + Arc 1 Little Extra

Li Yan staggered and walked with his bloody dress. He didn't saved the child on his belly. He was deeply regretting that he can't tell his husband the good news. He also regretted that he didn't told Ling Zhen as soon as possible that Li Yun was poisoned.

' I will be the empress!!! No one can stop me! Why was this happening?! I'll not accept this! '

This all lead to his husband being dead, his brother dead, his brother's husband dead and his unborn child to be lost.

After a few days, a grand funeral was held at the palace. The crowned prince's body was placed at the imperial tomb and Ling Xiao's body was nowhere to be found. It was rumored that a loyal subordinate buried General Ling Xiao and Li Yun's body together.

Li Yan was now a widow. He was not buried alive together with Ling Zhen because Ling Zhen himself had told a servant not to let Li Yan accompany him to his death.

Li Yan was again betrothed but not in a influential person but into a poor one. It was believed that he jinxed the two princes, causing them their own deaths.

Many years had passed, the emperor died. Before leaving, he gave the throne to the youngest prince, Ling An.

Emperor Ling An brought the empire prosperity.

Many dynasties had passed, archeologist found a stack of folded papers inside the compartment of a antique cabinet from Li Empire.

Li Yun chuckled lightly. The people who read his letter might be shocked now! The only thing that made him sad was Ling Xiao himself didn't dared to read it.

" Young Master, what was taking you so long? You'll be late at your university if you don't hurry! "

Li Yun was now curled up at the corner of the closet. He hurriedly fixed his crumpled shirt and went outside his walk-in closet like nothing happened.

" Sebas--*cough* Sir, lead the way! "

" Young Master....Did you forget my name? "

System: "...." F*ck! I forgot to introduced the world and mission to my host!

Li Yun unconciously bit his nail. He was sorry that he didn't know this handsome butler's name.

" Well it can't be helped, right? Your very stressed this days due to that... Young Master, this butler's name was Sebastian. You can call me Sebas...if you like. "

Li Yun: OAO Fudging potatoes! He was really named Sebastian!

Li Yun was dragged at the dining table where he ate his breakfast...alone.

He was very hungry and he really wanted to relieved his grieving heart by heartily having his fill. He looked at the dishes served. They had bread, butter, mashed potatoes, cream soup with mushrooms and a pitcher with milk. Sebastian laid the napkin at his lap gracefully. He reached his hand toward the spoon but he was utterly shocked. He was using spoon and fork when not using chopsticks to eat... but he was not accustomed to the spoons and forks laid at the table napkin. They are too many and it was ranging from small to larger one. There was also a silver knife lying at the napkin.

Li Yun: =.= Fudge! Am I a rich kid, now? System, once I get out of this mess, I'll accept my cursed shipping career with opened arms.

" Young Master, Is the food not to your liking? "

' Fudge this!!'

Li Yun forcely smiled. Luckily, he knew some of dining manners from the rich when he was still a kid. He grabbed the largest spoon and Sebastian served him a plate of soup with a bread at the side.

'Woah!! What a professional butler! I even wanted to take him home!'

" Leo, did that person survived the trial? "

" Yes, Master. "

The man sitting at the leather sofa chuckled. He elegantly sipped his coffee and with a solemn look, ordered:

" I wanted you to gather all of the surviving candidates data. We should not fail grandfather. "

The butler merely nodded and left.

" This is getting interesting. Finding a suitable and on-the-papers wife is pretty challenging. "

The man thought to himself while looking at the two wallet size picture that was neatly held at his left hand.

Arc 1 (Little Extra)

In a historical site, some archeologists were holding the carefully retrieved ancient piled envelopes. The envelope was still in a good condition and slightly brown despite of it's age. Maybe, it was due to being properly stored by the owner.

When the archeologists opened it, they were shocked!

The letter inside didn't need to be deciphered because some were not written in ancient text but in...English!!!

The person who written this was just merely weakened and pushed to death by poison.

Pretty cliché for a story, right?

So... behold!!!

I, Li Yun was an example that the palace was a place  of muddy waters inhabited by poisonous snakes!

The one who killed me were the crowned prince, Ling Zhen and his "kind" wife, Li Yan!

I'm telling this not to seek justice but to tell you all in case, they change my tragic story into rainbows and unicorns when writing an imperial report.
