The alarm system started to go off as I ran down the hall. When I reached the room that held the cops I spotted a table. It had all my missing things. I grabbed them and started to attempt to pick the lock.

"Hey Chief Morris! What are you doing here?" Jack asked.

Suddenly he gasped and his eyes grew wide when he saw that the chief was behind bars.

"Did you get arrested? You always tell me not to break the law. Why did you break the law?!"

Chief Morris chuckled darkly.

"No Jack my boy. I didn't break the law. I was captured like you."

"Oh that's good. Well I mean it's not good you got captured, but it's good you didn't break the law," Jack said.

The chief just smiled. I started to pick the lock. At that moment I realized that I probably got my lock picking skills from the RHW. I shuddered at the thought of being with these men. I had the locked pick and the door open in no time.

"So what are we going-"

My sentence got cut off by the voices of two women coming down the hall.

"Daisy, Semaj said James went this way. You know toward his cop friends."

"No," the other one said (who I guessed was Daisy). "He said he went away from the other cops Jasmine."

The two women continue to bicker. I silently motioned for Jack and the cops to follow me down a different corridor. Soon we came to a set of flights that led up into the fresh air. We were back in the alley.

"So what are we going to do about them?" I asked the other cops.

"Officer Smith, can you please tell us what their plan is first?" Officer Gianos called from the back.

"Sorry Edna. Forgot about that," I replied.

I explained the plan that Semaj told me about. Everyone had dumbfounded expressions on their faces. How could the plan ever work? How could people be so cruel and evil?

"Well I think we should call the FBI," Chief Morris stated.

"Yes, but how long do we have until they make the president their first victim?" I asked.

Before anyone could answer, my cell phone started to ring. I looked at the number. It was the hospital. That couldn't be good.

"Hello?" I said, my voice shaking slightly.

"Hello? James Smith?” said a frantic woman on the other end. Her tone didn’t help my nerves.

“That’s me,” I replied nervously.

“Your wife’s gone. Two men broke in and took her. They held us at gunpoint until they had her. I’ve tried calling the police station. No one’s there.”

My heart stopped.

"What did these men look like?” I questioned her.

"The men were wearing suits. Dark red I believe with a hint of gold,” she answered.

"I know who these men are. Leave this to me.”

“Good luck Mr. Smith.”

I hung up the phone, my eyes welling up with tears.

"What's wrong Daddy?" Jack asked his eyes full of worry.

I looked around at everyone. My voice was barely a whisper. I wouldn't have been surprised if they didn't hear me.

"The RHW got Jane."
