All Veronica Paulson wanted was a normal year of college with her 6 good friends; Daphne, Michael, Ariana, Sofia, Ellie and Ash. However, after a serial killer starts killing students left, right and centre, Veronica realises this year would be anyt...
Arriving home at 7pm, I wheel myself through to my living room, where my step-mum is usually sat drinking a bottle of wine and watching trashy TV shows. However to my amazement she's not there. I roll forward in my wheelchair and read a note sat down on the table.
"Dear Luci,
I've gone out to meet with those boys I met at poker last night, you know the ones I'm talking about, long hair, killer body, slightly stubbly chin. Either way, I won't be back till probably late afternoon tomorrow, so don't wait up for me.
From your amazing step-mum Ruth. P.S don't eat my goddamn mini pretzels."
Rolling my eyes, I scrunch the note up into a ball and throw it at the dustbin, it misses. Oh well. Leaving the paper there, I head over to my bedroom and blast loud music throughout the house. Being home alone is my favourite thing. I literally hate my step-mum so much. Ugh I wish she'd just drop dead.
Suddenly, my bedroom door swings open. "Hello?" I call out spinning my self around to see who's there. No one replies. I move over towards the open door to check around and still I see no one. Ignoring this, I roll back into my room and turn my music up louder, it's probably just nothing anyway. This is an old house, so the latches on the doors probably need redoing.
I wheel myself over to my bed and chuck my phone onto my fluffy blanket. To my surprise it doesn't land softly and instead hits a wooden mask that someone had left on my bed.

That's strange.. Did my step-mum leave that? I reach for my phone and try to FaceTime her, she answers immediately.
"Hello, what do you want?" She asks me, stuffing a pickle inside her mouth.
I swivel my chair around and start moving away from my bed. "Did you leave a mask in my bedroom?"
"Oh no. Is it one of my S&M ones? Show me." I turn around to look back at the mask and see that it's not there.
"What... Where did it go?" I ask
"Where did what go? Look, Luci get to the point I don't have time for this." Ruth impatiently hisses.
"Look, did you leave a mask in here or not?" I say, trying to get to the bottom of things. "It was some weird Egyptian thing, like the god of love or something."
Ruth starts to say something but I can't hear her as her voice is covered by the sound of a familiar voice coming from behind me.
"The Egyptian god of death." The voice giggles.
Cautiously, I swivel around in my chair and see someone towering over me, wearing the mask. I ask them who they are but they don't respond, instead they pull out a screwdriver from behind their back.
"What the- SHIT!" I scream as the screwdriver lodges into my throat, blocking off my words. I struggle to take another breath as the masked person pulls the screwdriver back out from inside me. As it slowly comes out, blood begins pouring down my chest and my vision goes black. All I can hear are the cries of my step-mum until finally I loose all sense of everything and feel my body shut down.
