Chapter 14

I groaned and rubbed my face. My head hurts.... I snuggled further under the soft covers and took a whiff of the sweet blossoming scent from the detergent. Gee, I did not remember a thing from yesterday or how I managed to end up in bed. The morning air was chilly and I would have slept longer in the comfort of my bed if not for the drivers outside the building who were blaring their vehicle horns, rushing for work as the whole street got jammed. Why? Usually the street was pretty clear.
I shuffled groggily to the window and peered into the streets. Oh, it was just mayhem happening down there. WHAT THE HECK?! It has already been overnight and the fans were still attacking the building. About hundreds of fans, though less then the last night, had jam-packed the area and apparently obstructed the road. Who in the right mind would be willing to wait for someone for that long? If my eyes were right, some of them camped out the night along the sidewalk. Their parents could have been worried sick.
'Boys, how are you going to get out of here?' I shouted and shambled down the stairs. There was no answer so I guessed they were still asleep. Ain't easy to be superstars, huh?
I was greeted by an unruly sight as I got to the living room. Beer cans were strewn on the carpet, snack wrappers were littered on the black leather couch and a whole lot of spoons scattered everywhere. 'Holy sh-' I stopped myself from swearing and delivered a slap to my cheek. 'Boys.' I muttered and picked up the rubbish, disposing them into a big plastic bag.
My foot tripped on something as I walked and I stumbled onto a soft object. 'Louis!!!' I whacked his stomach but his only response was a loud snore. 'Tomlinson!' I got up on my feet and gave him a gentle kick on his arm. He just laid there at the bottom of the slide with his butt sticking high up in the air. A pillow was still tucked under his head but I had to crawl up the slide to fetch his blanket.
'Boys.' I banged against the door. There were four lumps on the bed, covered by the sheets. I had two queen-sized beds and they rather squeeze into one. I guess I'll never understand them. 'Rise and shine.' I announced and gathered the curtains, holding them in place with golden tassels. Casting away the duvet (Thank god they kept their pants on, even Harry.), all four of the boys' faces were basked under the bright morning rays but still not a single twitch from either one of their limbs. It was amazing how they could actually sleep so deeply and peacefully.
I grabbed a spray and filled it up with icy cold water. I aimed the nozzle at their faces and shot the water but only Liam mde an effort to wipe off the liquid, but he was still asleep.
I went up to Harry and pushed his curls behind his ear. 'Psst, Harry wake up. It's morning sleeping beauty.' I whispered in his ear. Unexpectedly, I saw a hand coming at me. SMACK! 'Harry!' I cried, rubbing my nose. Arrgh! This was useless.
I headed to the kitchen and poured myself some juice and sat gloomily by the kitchen counter, deep in thoughts. So my real name was Althea Cole Carlsleigh Lai Na, I should turn eighteen this year, I'm a half British quarter American and quarter Chinese. That's it??? How did I lose my memories?! No one wants to tell me, they seemed to want me to find out on my own.
'Morning.' Liam walked in with a sheepish look on his face.
'Help yourself.'
Liam nodded nonchalantly and poured some coffee into a mug before taking a seat next to mine. It was silent between us, maybe it was awkwardness or it could have been because he was still half asleep.
'So what happened last night?' I asked as I sipped on my drink. My head was a little fuzzy, probably the alcohol working.
He gave a small snort and added sugar to the coffee, stirring it slowly. 'You didn't like beer, yet you kept drinking? And one thing's for certain, you can't hold your drink very well. One can and you're gone.'
