Goodbye Kyle

I walked home thinking about Connor and how thoughtful he was

You should totally be my girlfriend

It kept playing back in my head. Me? Connor's girlfriend? He's such a great guy and he's hot. Oh and he's a freaking vampire!

When I got home my mom was sitting on the couch and my father was coming out of the kitchen with a cup of coffee. "hey...dad" I balked. He looked at me with cheerful eyes. "you finally learned your lesson" my mother said. "hello Barbara" I said crossing my arms.

"excuse me?" she got up from the couch and walked over to me "you heard me" I yelled. my mother smacked me across my face, "don't you ever disrespect me like that again" she yelled. "I can't believe you lied to me!" I screamed. "what are you talking about?" she questioned. "all those things you said about dad, none of it is true" I cried.

She gave me a shocked look. "I said those things so he wouldn't take you away from me" she said cupping my cheek with her hand. "well...its a little too late for that" I screamed. "what do you mean?" she asked confused. "I've agreed to leave with him" I lied.

They both looked at me shocked by my words. Then my mother's facial expression changed from shocked to angry. "fine, if you wanna leave with him then go ahead, I don't need you anyway, I'll be fine on my own" she yelled. Electricity started to build up in my body.

I used my powers to grab a lamp and throw it at her, missing, it hit the wall and broke. "fine, I DONT NEED YOU EITHER!!!!" I screamed stomping up the stairs to my room and slamming the door. I laid on my bed and cried into my pillow thinking about the decision I just made and what I'd be leaving behind.

The next day my father helped me pack my things in suit cases. Afterwards, I walked to Connor's house to tell him that I was leaving. Before I could ring the doorbell Connor pulled the door open already on his way out of the house.

"oh hey Ky" he said with a smile making everything worse. "look, I have to tell you something" I said. "what? you're some witchwolf?" he asked with a laugh. "oh wait you're serious, come on inside" he said opening the door. "no, I'd rather do it out here,...........I'll have to leave soon" I said sadly.

"leave?" Connor asked. "you're leaving?". "my mother and i got into a huge fight and my father's taking me away" I couldn't even look Connor in the face. "but...........I...........I love you Kyle" Connor said lifting my head and looking into my eyes, he gave me a peck on the lips then grabbed my hands, "I've always loved you". "I'm so sorry" I started to cry and it made my voice crack.

I jumped into his arms giving him a hug wrapping my arms around him tightly as I cried in his shoulder. "so, I guess this is goodbye" he said. "I guess so" he wiped a tear from my cheek. My father pulled up in front of Connor's house and beeped his horn.

"goodbye Connor" I cried. "goodbye Ky" he said letting go of my hands slowly. I walked over to my father's car and I kept my eyes on Connor until he was out of sight. "you know you didn't have to do his right?" my father asked. I didn't answer him, I just looked out the window as we drove.

We arrived at my father's house, and when I walked in I was in awe. The house was more beautiful than I imagined. My father's wife and 3 kids were waiting for my arrival. I already felt welcome. "everyone this is Kyle, Kyle this is my wife Chelsea and these are the girls Lisa, McKenzie, and Rachel" he introduced me to them.

The girls helped me with my things and gave me a tour around the house. Then came dinner time. "so, Kyle, how old are you?" Chelsea asked. "I'm 16" I said with a mouthful of mashed potatoes. "so you don't do drugs right?" she asked.

"Chelsea!" my father yelled. "no, no I don't" I said getting pissed. "what, I mean I would think she did living with a drug addict mother you know" she said cutting some steak. I slammed my utensils on the table and went upstairs to the room I was staying in.

How could she have said that? Its my first time here and she was already being rude. At this moment I just wanted to be wrapped in Connor's arms. Then someone knocked on my door. "Kyle its Chelsea, may I come in please" she asked politely. "why so you can check me for drugs?" I said.

"no I just want to apologize" she said softly. I used my powers to unlock the door and she walked in. I was surprised she hadn't noticed. "I'm really sorry I don't know what came over me. I promise I'll never do that again" she said sitting on the bed next to me. "do you accept my apology?" she asked putting her arms out.

"okay I accept your apology" I said giving her a hug. In the inside I still wasn't exactly fond of her. "sleep well" she said leaving the room.

Within a week I was already enrolled into a new school AGAIN. It's called Colton High School.

My father drove me and my half sisters to school as they asked me lots and lots of questions. Although McKenzie didn't really talk that much. I knew I was gonna get along with her very well. When we arrived into the school everyone was staring me down as if I committed a crime or something.

As I walked I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking and I bumped into this guy. "watch where the hell you're going......new girl" he said wiping his clothes off. "my name is Kyle" I said frowning at him.

"and I don't care, just watch where you're going" he said bumping my shoulder as he walked past me. "are you okay? what did he say to you?" McKenzie said running up behind me. "yeah I'm fine, but what's his problem?" I asked.

"he used to get bullied a lot in school and he got tired of it so he started standing up for himself and destroying anybody that got in his way, literally. He doesn't have many friends, but he can get a lot of desperate girls" she said walking to her class.

"well, he's gonna have a friend today" I said with a smirk

After school I followed Mr.Grumpy to the school parking lot. "hey" I yelled to him. "I never caught your name" I said stopping in front of him. "that's because I never threw it by you" he said trying to walk away. "wait,ummm.............I wanna be your friend", that came out kind of awkward.

"what?" he questioned "what are you trying to say?". "I'm not trying to say anything, I'm telling you I want to be your friend" I explained "well I don't need friends" he said walking away. "at least tell me your name" I yelled from a distance. "Xavier" he screamed as he walked to his car. "that went well" I said to myself walking away.

My father was running late to pick me and the girls up so we decided to walk home through the woods. I know what you're thinking, its stupid, but it's the fastest way to get home. As we walked we heard the leaves around us rustling as if someone where following us.

Then a guy popped out from behind a tree. His skin was pale white and he looked like he was barely breathing. "well well well look what we've got here" he said moving closer to us. "who are you? what do you want?" I questioned him.

"I am your worst enemy, and I want my dinner" he said with a deep toned voice. Then he ran after us. "run!" I screamed to the girls. I wanted to use my powers to kill him but I didn't want to frighten the girls and I was so scared I couldn't build up the strength to activate them so the only choice was to run.

As we were running I tripped over a branch falling on my stomach. "Kyle" McKenzie screamed. "I think I broke my ankle" I yelled turning on my back. When I turned the man got on top of me and started sniffing me. Then fangs elongated from his mouth and his eyes turned black.

McKenzie grabbed a stick in attempt to hit him but a big dog like animal leaped over me pushing the man off of me. He bit into his neck ripping his head off. The animal was a big brown werewolf. The wolf ran away until out of sight, then Xavier came running to us out of the clear blue.

"is everyone okay? I heard screaming?" he asked
