Chapter 17

Colby's POV:

After graduation me, Sam, Corey, Elton, Kat, Aaron, and Sophie all went to the graduation party. 

"You haven't been around much, surprised you came," Sam commented to Aaron, wrapping his arm around my body. Aaron walked away from Sam, not responding to his comment. Sam and I exchanged worried looks.

"He's been dealing with a lot of things," Sophie told us. "His brother never came home from the military, meaning he died and Aaron had to plan his funeral. His grandmother and grandfather died in a car accident, unfortunately the people who were responsible, they weren't found, and my step-mother got diagnosed with cancer so Aaron has been supporting me too along with school."

"Wow... he's been through a shitload, so have you," Elton remarked. "We should all go join him and make him feel somewhat happy before the party starts."

We were watching people arrive as the music and lights began blasting and beaming through the rooms. Kat's ex Evan was running the party, which I'm surprised Kat's even talking to him.

"Are you and Kat still together?" Aaron asked Sam. Sam and I exchanged looks nervously, rubbing our necks at the same exact time. Sam grabbed my hand and we laced fingers. 

"Oh.." Aaron said awkwardly. "I support you both 100%, I've just never pictured it, but you guys are perfect together."

"Kat and I are dating though," Elton stated with a proud grin, holding a red solo cup filled with vodka. 

"Good for you, you're first relationship, right?" Aaron stated and confirmed. Elton nodded.

"Hey," Evan greeted himself. 

"Don't go near Colby," Sam warned him, his face getting red. 

"Sam," I said and he immediately relaxed but then pulled me into his body a lot more. I was perfectly fine with it though. It was really comfortable. I snuggled my head into his chest. 

"I'm not going to do anything to anyone," Evan told us. "I've changed my ways. I'm actually going to be heading off to medical school pretty soon."

"Medical school?" Sam and I laughed.

"It is shocking..." Aaron commented, looking down at his feet.

"Not expected for you to say that at all, but that's good," Sophie said. "College is very important."

"Yes it is," Elton agreed. I wanted to say, 'say's the one who thinks college is over rated'. 

"I thought you weren't going to college?" Aaron confirmed with Elton.

"I'm going to college for computer programming actually... I really enjoy it," Aaron stated with a smile and Sophie kissed his forehead proudly. 

"That's my man," Sophie remarked and Aaron blushed. 

"Colby and I need a minute," Sam said and everyone nodded in response and departed.

Sam pulled me into him and kissed me. Now we are making out full on not caring about who else is around. He placed his warm hands on my waist and it sent shivers down my spine. I draped my arms around his neck and gave in more. He started lifting up my shirt a little bit just so he could barely trace my abs. It was so romantic and I really loved it and enjoyed it. 

"I love you so much Colby. Even when you drive me insane, I will always love you," Sam whispered and we laced fingers.

"I love you too," I said and started making out with him again, now tugging on his hair, making him automatically moan in response.

"Not here," Sam whispered. I didn't want to stop kissing him. "Colby, not here...."

"Can I talk to you?" Kat asked Sam. 

I glared at her, narrowing my eyes directly at her. I pulled him next to me.

"Kat, I think you should go and give up on me. I'm really happy with Colby. We can still be friends Kat but nothing more. I'm sorry Kat," Sam said sternly as Kat began crying.

"Fine, you know what? You don't need me as a friend either way. You have Colby, Elton, Aaron, Sophie, and Corey." Kat snapped at Sam and she stormed outside and left the party.

Sam and I went back over to Elton, Corey, Sophie, and Aaron to dance with them.
