(As all of Y'all know, Jaye is my main OC of Villainous. There are a few alternate versions of Jaye that belong to the corresponding AUs of Villainous that she's in but non of those are canon. Anyways, here's a few things that y'all all need to know about my favorite demon hybrid.)
No. 1- Jaye is of strong Native American descent.
Though Her father's side is mostly European and American mixed, the entire side of her mother's line is Cherokee, hence Jaye's true first name, Chimalis (bluebird) It is also predominant in her physical features too, minus her mid length sable brown hair. Whether or not her Ethnicity is of any relevance to anything is unknown.No. 2- Jaye is exceptionally talented at drawing.
Among a few domestic talents that she has, (Cooking, cleaning, sewing, gardening, singing, etc) Jaye is one hell of an artist. She can draw a near perfect rough sketch of another person's face in a matter of minutes. This is why she can accurately draw out Blueprints for any machine or part that Flug wants, provided that he accurately describe it, or show her a picture first.No. 3- Jaye and Calamity
Calamity and Jaye are roughly one in the same. Because Calamity quite literally fused his soul to hers (not Steven Universe fusing either, people.
-_- they can't unfuse.) Jaye is a part of Calamity and vice versa. They share Jaye's body but Calamity can physically alter her appearance to some degrees (much to Jaye's chagrin) and one personality can surface while the other is just kinda chilling and lying dormant in the back of the mind. At first, Calamity could be triggered to take over and transform by any strong emotions (fear, excitement and anger mainly) or by directly causing pain to Jaye, but over time, she got used to it and is now able to physically control when Calamity is allowed to come out or not.No. 4 Shared Knowledge.
A side effect of being stuck together with a demon is good extensive knowledge of anything you want to know. Calamity, predictably has been around for thousands of years and, with a little convincing, If Jaye ever wants to know something, provided that Calamity is feeling generous, she can easily search Calamity's memories to find it out. This bond also goes both ways, unfortunately...
No. 5- Bargaining
Predictably, most of Jaye's powers are not her own. Powers that are available to her without Calamity are her teleportation abilities, telepathy, Regeneration, selective intangibility and speed and strength. Anything other than that, including but not limited to, Umbrakinesis, pyrokinesis, hypnosis, and Calamity's main ability, theft and suppression of others powers, Jaye has to bargain for. The bargains can be anything from extended time for Calamity to take over their shared body to transform and feed, random objects he's interested in, or souls. Either way, there's gonna be some form of payment involved.
No. 6 Half a soul.
A side effect of being soul tied to Calamity is that technically, half of Jaye's original soul is gone. Calamity absorbed it. That being said, Calamity also "bound" one half of his own soul to Jaye so technically they'll never be free of each other. At least... Not without consequence. The other half of Calamity's soul is still in the crossroads, albeit nobody knows just where. Every now and then, though Calamity will return to the crossroads to "Check on something" and Jaye is literally left without half a soul. During this time, Jaye is extremely unstable and very vulnerable. She does not respond to most contact and unless you know what her trigger words are, she's otherwise catatonic and insane. This lasts for about a week until Calamity returns to her body.
No. 7- Body count.
Omitting the hundreds upon hundreds of humans that she has killed to either feed Calamity or out of personal reasons, Jaye has an acknowledged body count of four people. Her mother, her grandmother and her younger brother and sister. Calamity devoured them and made her watch the very same night that she was killed, resurrected and took revenge on her murderers. Because of this, Jaye has no living relatives remaining. Her father's whereabouts and condition is unknown.
No. 8- Relationship status (Give us them goodz >:3)
Due to obvious reasons, Jaye is unwilling- if not completely unable- to hold a steady relationship with another human. This is not to say that she hasn't had a brief interlude or two in the past but usually, they don't end cordially. (Meaning that usually, the Post-deed pillow talk is Calamity eating her partner. >w>) Her preference is Bisexual but once again, her getting that close to someone is next to impossible. However, this isn't to say that Jaye doesn't have her *koff koff* interests in some~ (If ya know what I mean;3)
No. 9 Tattoos.
Jaye has a total of three tattoos, all of which she got after soul bonding with Calamity. (It is unknown how the ink manages to replicate itself back with her body every time she transforms to and from Calamity. ) The tattoo of the tribal Sun on her chest can be used to store and withdraw weapons and other items from her pocket dimension.
The other is the long Double headed Snake Tattoo on her back, whick is where Calamity emerges from her body.
The third one is one that nobody would see unless they saw her nude... And its a small Blue jay on the right side of her bum. (Don't ask. ) Good luck trying to see that one.
