A Siren's song~

***Based on a conversation between myself and The-Masked-Dragoness on tumblr, What if Black hat's singing voice had effects similar to a siren? But it not only lures you in, it could also drive you insane? Have a random song fic mixed with a little bit of fluff. (Kinda my apology for teasing y'all with that Lime back in 'Piano lessons' 😅) enjoy~***

Jaye had been making her way down to the lab to give Flug a part of machinery that she had salvaged from her last mission when she heard it.
Singing?
It was hard to discern from where she was but it sounded as if it was coming from the third floor.

A deep, melodious Baritone that seemed to make the walls move with it.
Jaye wasn't necessarily paying attention to the words so much as she was the very sound of it.
Her feet unconsciously began to move towards the music and suddenly her mind felt very hazy.

**~ Might want to watch yourself, Darling. You're being hypnotized, you know. ~** Calamity's voice vaguely whispered but Jaye ignored it and continued in her path, though her mind slightly wandered.

Hypnotized? Wasn't she immune to that? You'd think that being the Half human host of Calamity would grant her that but surprisingly no... At least, not all the way...

~While up aloft in storm
From me his absence mourn
And firmly pray arrive the day
He's never more to roam~

To be honest, Jaye was starting to feel oddly sleepy and her mind was foggy.
Focusing on any thought other than the task at hand, which was finding the source of that heavenly singing, was nearly impossible and even as she got closer to the source, her apprehension slowly waned away.

~ My heart is pierced by cupid
I disdain all glittering gold
There is nothing can console me
But my Jolly Sailor Bold~

Predictably, the captivating song was coming from none other than Black hat's office and as soon as Jaye got to the door, she opened it without even bothering to knock and entered.

The said Eldritch had his back to Jaye, facing the large bay window as if gazing outwards at the scenery, hands regally clasped behind his back.
He seemed to be finished with the song, but its effects did not fade. If anything, it only made Jaye more tired and to where she just craved to be held. An odd feeling for a half demon, but then again, any semblance of normality went right out of the window when you took Black hat into account.

"Hehehe~ So you have fallen right into my trap hero- eugh!"

Black hat, on the precipice of perhaps giving a mild villainous monologue, was abruptly cut off when Jaye, who's body seemed to have a mind of its own, had come to stand behind him and wrapped her arms neatly around his front to where she could rest her face on his shoulder blade.

The intense warmth that he radiated was enough to nearly make her fall asleep right then and there.

"Wh-What are you- WOMAN! why are you touching me?! How did you even-" Black hat choked out but Jaye cut him off with a quiet groan and almost made a nuzzling movement into his back.

"Hrrn.... I dunno what'chu did... But now I'm sleepy and I don't wanta move... So hush please~" she murmured, the barest hint of her drawl much more prominent in her tiredness.

Black hat stood there for a moment, stiffer than a board before sighing roughly and frowning.
It would seem that Jaye was the last person he was expecting to draw to his office with his Siren's song but lo and behold, there she was, embracing him from behind which felt nicer than what he would have thought.

Hell, he probably didn't even think that she would be affected by it. She was annoyingly immune to plenty of things that would have made her easy to get rid of... But to her credit, she wasn't going insane or drooling practically.

Sighing, he pried her arms off of him, ignoring the mumble of protest before turning around and sweeping her up faintee style so that he could sit down in his chair with her.

Jaye sighed almost happily and tucked her head beneath Black hat's chin, pushing her ear to his chest so that she could listen to his slow heartbeat.

".... You're lucky that I don't feel like disposing of a dead body today, woman..." he muttered coarsely, getting a decent whiff of Jaye's perfume, hair and a few other choice scents about her.

"Mmm... Quiet... Some of us are trying to sleep. "

"That wasn't what this was fo- ugh! Never you mind... "

Kurosaiga sprinted down the hallways to tackle her prey, effectively tearing out his jugular in one quick, messy bite.
The hero was bold. And not half bad, considering how he had managed to bypass the security measures and make it to the third floor unnoticed.
Shit, he had almost made it to Black hat's office... Correction, he DID make it to Black Hat's office... But... He was just kinda standing there staring inside... What the hell was he staring at?

Ignoring her bloodlust briefly, the Wendigo moved away from her kill and shambled back over to the opened doorway of Black hat's office...

He was sitting in his chair peering down at paperwork with a loose and much less irritable looking frown but sitting across his lap curled up against his chest was Jaye, her normal hazel eyes shut tightly in the most contented looking sleep that Kurosaiga had ever seen.

It would have been comical if it wasn't so... Unironically cute.

Black hat didn't even lift his gaze to speak.

"Unless it is a matter of Death and the dark ascent of Lucifer, not a word. "

Kurosaiga let out a distorted grumble that sounded suspiciously like a chuckle and held her ashen claws up nonchalantly before turning around.

-Hey, whatever you do in your office with the demon lady is nobody's business but yours and hers. Just keep it PG~

"ITS NOT LIKE THAT!!"
