Knocking and it's importance

Was it too much to ask around here for a hot shower?

Jaye and all 5 ft 4 of herself fully acknowledged that she was a demonic, sub-human war-machine that killed hundreds upon hundreds of people per year.... But even so, that didn't mean that she had to SMELL like one...

**~A lady has to keep up her appearances, now doesn't she?~** Calamity teased as Jaye picked a room the farthest away from the Lab, the first floor or Black Hat's office and closed the door behind her, not bothering to lock it.
Considering all of the other dwellers of Black hat manor were all supernatural beings from Eldritch demons to mutant human and reptile hybrids, finding comfort in something as ineffective as a stainless steel thumb lock seemed pretty moronic.

Jaye slung her big green duffle bag on the floor next to the queen sized bed, frowning at the rips and tears in the fabric from both use and travel before sighing and opening it up to pull out some clean clothes.

Hn...
A black T shirt and blue jean shorts would have to do for now...

Sighing, she grabbed one of her towels and entered the bathroom.

**~ Pity, the blood most likely won't come out of these clothes. And they looked so good on you, darling. ~** Calamity purred only sounding mildly disappointed as Jaye began to undress and stare at the pile of gore covered clothes.

**" That's... The cost of doing business with Heroes, I reckon..."**

**~ Well now~ Isn't that putting it eloquently. There was well over thirty people in that warehouse. ~**

**" And?"** Jaye sent mildly, taking her Sable colored hair drop from the bun it had been in. Parts of it shone with a dull copper hue from dried blood that had coated it.
Her skin wasn't in much more pristine condition.

Dark smudges marred certain areas of her neck, cheeks and chest in places that her leather jacket and tank top didn't cover and in areas where her clothes and flesh had been torn but healed.

Yeah... Those clothes had to go.

The thick black tattoo of the Tribal sun resting dead center of her chest looked almost dramatic covered in dried blood.

Like a setting red sun.

When she turned the water on, she set the hot water on full blast, nearly groaning in relief as the hot spray hit her flesh.
Any normal human's skin would have probably been melting away by now but the only thing it did upon coming in contact with Jaye's was kick up a thick layer of billowing steam into the air.
As she began to lather up her hair, a brief intrusive thought clicked in the back of her head.

Had she locked the bathroom door?
Had she locked either one of the doors?

Jaye knew that she hadn't exactly announced herself coming inside but then again, she wouldn't have to. Flug would have seen her on the security camera and Black hat would have sensed her energy. Right?....

**~ Having doubts, doll?~**

**~ Shut it...~**

Jaye tried to ignore the rising apprehension and focus strictly on washing the grime and blood out of her hair and skin but at that point, there was no comfort to be found in the scalding hot downpour on her flesh.
Grudgingly acknowledging that this was about as clean as she was going to get without potentially stripping off a layer of skin, Jaye huffed irritably and stepped out of the shower, wrapping the fluffy white towel around her torso immediately before walking over to the sink and swiping her hand across the mirror.
