A change in scenery

*** Hoo Lawd! After last chapter, I feel like I needed to make a chapter that was Cleaner. That and I've been messing around with Jaye's design and decided that maybe it was time for a change in appearance. Don't worry, the fundamentals of her appearance don't change. She'll still be a smol n' sassy little brunette but a few things are gonna be tweaked. Beware of the Gore though in this chapter cuz its about to get Bloody. ^^**

It was an accident, Flug could honestly say. And accidents DID happen around Black hat manor.

The heroes had all but Blown the back portion of the Lab to hell to get in and the madness that ensued was mostly a blur from there.

Saiga all but leapt up from her idle position next to his seat and released a deep, unholy growl before launching herself at the nearest intruder.

Flug's reaction wasn't as instantaneous but he nevertheless had sprung up from his chair and removed his blaster from the inside of his lab coat before taking aim.

"Ignore the beast! Take the scientist first!" A tall and obscenely muscular male in a bull shaped helmet barked to his four other counterparts.
The others obeyed, two other males and one woman in respective animal helmets, bum-rushing Flug with decent speed, knocking over several pieces of equipment in the process.

Flug managed to tag one of them in the stomach with his firearm before diving left, narrowly avoiding being hit with a flying projectile of sorts.
Once the object hit the wall behind him, it exploded, sending small amounts of shrapnel sailing through the air.

One of the males went to charge again but let out an agonized wail of pain as Saiga Flashed behind him and locked her jaws around his leg with a sickening crunch.

Flug didn't have time to watch the rest  for the remaining male and female attacked all at once and too fast for him to try and dodge.
He squeezed his eyes shut and waited for impact....

"GAH!"
"AIIIE!"

Nothing so much as grazed him.

When Flug finally was able to peel his eyes open, a familiar Half Demon girl who he had admittedly never been more happy to see was standing in front of him, arms crossed in an X shape in front of her but emanating  Dark energy.
The two assailants had been knocked back a considerable distance, both looking unconscious, leaving only the man in the bull mask left and then the one that Kurosaiga was currently gutting.
Well then,... One left.

"J-Jaye... " Flug managed to choked out, feeling both relieved and concerned at the same time.

The woman didn't look back at him, never taking her eyes off of her newer prey but she did speak up, albeit in a soft, dangerously smooth tone.

"Are you hurt?"

"N-No... No I'm not."

"Good. " she whispered, and Flug watched as she slowly lowered her arms but reached up with one and pulled a long, wicked looking dagger out of her chest tattoo. "Then stay back. I'll take it from here. "

And with that, Jaye lunged so fast that her outline blurred before she clashed with the much larger man and began fighting.
Flug wasn't sure why he did it but he cranked up the power on his gun and aimed at the two brawling parties closing his non dominant eye and preparing to fire.

*Okay... If I can just get him to turn around for a second, maybe I can get a clear shot without hitting Jaye... Well...at least not dead center... This should disintegrate any organic matter instantly... There's a possibility that she'll get hit... But she can heal from that ri-*

-FLUG!!-

Suddenly, his entire body was being shoved forward and then his finger clenched and his ray discharged.
