Until Dawn Dead Inside

Last Year

Beth sat in her families kitchen, doing the dishes while Josh and Chris were passed out drunk. Jeremy walks in, he had worn a tuxedo because he lost on a bet with Mike and Matt. He didn't even like to wear fancy clothes, but he wanted to make himself look good infront of Beth.

"Hey did you see that? Dad said it'd just be us this weekend," Beth says looking outside.
"What, did you see something?" Jeremy asks walking up to her.
"Yeah, I saw a man outside. He had a winter coat on."
"You sure? I don't see anyone."
"Yeah I did see someone Jay, I swear!"
"Okay, I'm sure we're fine in here."
"How do you know that?"
"Because once they see you, they'll run away crying," he says grabbing her waist.
"Oh, shut up suit!" She says hitting his shoulder.
"You can't make me!" He says pointing at her.
"Oh, I'm sure I can," she says in a seductive tone.
"So you say," he says raising one eyebrow.

Out of the corner of her eye, Beth sees something that looks like Hannah, running out into the cold wilderness.
"That was Hannah!" Beth says.
"Where?"
"She just ran outside, come on!" She says running to the door.
"Dammit," he muttered following her.

They ran outside to see the rest of the group.
"What did you guys do?" Beth asks furiously.
"Yeah guys, what the hell?" Jeremy asks.
"It was just a prank Han," Emily says sarcastically.
"You jerks!" Beth yells running after her.
"When we get back, we're gonna have a talk about your pranking skills!" Jeremy says following Beth.

Jay and Beth searched the woods for hours, not finding a trace of Hannah anywhere. Jeremy started to lose hope.

"Beth we've looked everywhere!"
"No! She's gotta be here somewhere," she says tears rolling down her tears.
"Beth, we have to go back to the lodge," he says pulling her into a hug.
Beth's tears stained Jay's tuxedo as he walked her back to the lodge.

They walk in, to an awake Josh and Chris. Chris was still a bit tipsy.
"What happened?!" Josh asks.
"She's gone, Josh," Beth says still with her head in Jay's chest.
"What! How? Jeremy how?" He also looking at Jay.
"Ask them," he says pointing to the group sitting in the living room.

Josh turns around with an angry expression on his face.
"What did you do!?" He says.
"Josh, we're sorry. We didn't think she would do that," Sam says getting infront of him.
He pushes her out of the way, walking towards Mike.
"Josh, believe me I'm so sorry!" He says.

Josh lunges towards Mike, but Jay and Chris hold him back.
"Matt, help us!' Jay says as Matt comes to their aid.
"Josh, I agree with you man you should kick his ass! But now's not the time!" Chris says.
Josh calms down and sits down as well.
"I should've been awake! I'm a piece of shit brother!" He says crying.
"No, Josh. You didn't know," Sam says sitting next to him.
"She overreacted," Emily mutters.
"Shut the fuck up, Emily!" They all say.
