The next morning, Tom wasn't surprised to see matt curled up hugging the pillow beside him. It's been a long couple of days so he doesn't blame him for being frightened still. He didn't mind though either, atleast he knew matt was still here. He wasn't alone in this hell.

"Tom?" Matt muttered, rubbing his eyes sleepily while sitting up "what time is it.."
"I'm, not sure matt. Morning I guess. Probably close to the afternoon or so.." tom hummed a bit, shifting to stand up and stretch. Now that matt was up he didn't have to worry about waking him up if he moved
"Right.." once taking a breath, matt moved to stretch as well before going to fix his hair a little. Lately, he hasn't cared as much. Too much stress was keeping him from his daily routine.

This is getting bad

"Ah welcome back boys! Today's challenge is, going to be interesting."

Tord grinned as he watched matt be shoved into the room filled with random doors, while tom was left outside. Or so matt thought

"Now then matt, this is all you need to do, find tom."  He muses, watching closely

"Find him?.." he paused a long moment "so, he's behind one of the doors? Tord that's dumb" he scoffed, annoyance entwined in his words as he moved to open a random door "you couldn't think of anything bet-" a loud snap like sound echoed in the room, upon opening the door he quickly learned it was rigged. Like a claw machine for reference, but in this case? It was fixed so upon opening the door, the trigger on the cross bow behind the door, would fire. Thank god it missed. Well, sorta.

"W-what the FUCK tord?!" Matt screeched, his cheek burning from the fresh cut that resided there. He could feel the warm blood starting to drip down to his chin but he had better things to worry about

"Should have let me finish. He's behind one door. Each other, is rigged. Either with a person, or weapon."

"Wait- person?" He paused mid step to look up to the booth where tord was

"Indeed. It'll be a nice, reminder of the past"

"This is absolutely insane.." avoiding the cut while wiping a bit of the blood off his face, carefully opening another door but this time quickly moved to the side to avoid whatever came at him. Good thing he did seeing as a knife went flying past him, embedding itself into the wall.

Where did he come up with these ideas seriously...

He didn't open random doors as often now. Instead he had the idea of putting his ear up against each door listening for talking or even breathing. When he heard breathing though he paused, taking a breath before swinging the door open, only to be punched in the face, the force knocking him to the ground. The solider standing there, he moments later realized was Paul, was grinning down at him, cracking his knuckles "I was told to give you the message of 'doesn't this seem familiar to you?'"

Matt blinked in confusion, shifted back a little bit as Paul closed the door "...my face.." he mumbled softy, gently running his fingers against his nose, realizing he could smell blood when he sniffed "..even better.." he grunted, wiping his nose that now, was bleeding. Meaning his nose was likely broken but he didn't seem to know that.

Things were serious now, first his cheek and now his nose. Like before he carefully listened to each door, narrowing it down to two. They were both next to each other which was convenient in his mind.

Reaching forward, he nervously flung the door to the right of him open, revealing a sleeping tom, tied to a chair. Pat was standing quietly behind him
"Good job matt" patryck hummed happily.

He's way too cheerful

When they returned to the room, tom had matt sit on the edge of the tub that was in the bathroom so he could wash the cuts and dried blood on matts skin
"This is nuts tom..but..how is your vision doing?"
Tom had stopped a moment, gazing to Matt "..not so good. I can see but, just barely"
"We need to finish this soon.." matt sighed softly

Matt woke the next morning to find tom gone again. He figured this meant the trial was his own and he had to find, or save tom. Either way, he wasn't excited about it.

It was when he walked into the room he felt a wave of nostalgia. Have..I seen this place before?

"Good to see you back matt! I'm sure you've put 2&2 together that once more you must find, but also save, tom. Good luck then" tord leaned back into his seat, watching intently now

Matt well, if anything was sick of this. The way that tord does things pisses him off but what else could he do. Tord would probably just kill them anyway.
Walking slowly down the tomb looking hallway, he stepped with caution, suddenly shifting quickly back upon feeling a plate on the floor drop. That's when he noticed the large spikes before the floor. Well even better right?

"This is bull shit..." he scoffed, maneuvering carefully, freezing feeling a plate lower but, it didn't fall. No no no, rather a part of the wall moved, a large spike shooting forward just barely missing matts side "...I'm gonna have so many ugly scars after this.." matt whined softly to himself, even more cautious then before while he stepped.

He makes it halfway across when he hears tom yelling from down the hall
"T-Tom? Where-"

"Matt...doesn't this ring a bell? When you almost killed us in the mummy's tomb? Well now instead of me being down there, you get your wish of being with tom! And if you don't finish the trial, a mummy's tomb is where you'll end" insane evil laughter ensued from tord, causing a shiver to run down matts back

"Y-yea..I remember.." taking a deep breath, he dashed forward, not as cautious this time, ending up almost falling through the floor atleast once, as well as almost getting stabbed by spikes. When he finally reached tom, he was covered in scratches and newly forming bruises. But if anything, he was more shocked to see his friend dangling above a pit of spikes, a cloth over his mouth to 'keep him quiet' while he was slowly being lowered down.

Tom was practically in the pit by the time matt dragged him out, feeling a tinge of guilt realizing toms legs and sides were scratched up from the sharpe spikes that basically covered the walls and ground of the pit. "Tom- tom I'm so sorry I didn't get here fast enough I-"
"Matt shh it's fine. Damn your bleeding again..and what did you do to your knee? You have a huge bruise and a cut-"
"I'll..tell you all about it later." Matt sighed, resting his head for just a moment against toms shoulder. If only he could sit there forever and forget all that was going on around him.

Tomorrow, would be worse. He just knew it.
