he took a deep breath before he knocked on his manager's office door.

"come in."

he closed his eyes for a short second, and comfortably smiled as he turned the silver-coloured doorknob, and popped his head inside.

he walked in, while his manager looked at him, with a confusing expression on his face, sitting behind the office table.

he began his words as he settled down. "yo, sejin hyung. what do you want to talk to me about?"

sejin slightly smiled as he cleared his voice. "jungkook, i heard you're meeting someone."

then he mentally panicked, mind suddenly running around with the wildest thoughts. what if yerim gets hurt because of me? but he faced it with a laugh he tried to fake as well as possible, not showing his temporary anxiety caused by manager sejin's question. "what?"

"jungkook, this isn't the time to play around. i know you're faking that laugh," manager sejin replied as he reached to his drawer, taking out a white envelope, inside filled with pieces of photographs.

"sejin hyung, did you ask people to follow me around?"

he ignored the younger's desperate question, and took the photographs out.

he placed each of them all over the table between the two of them.

he stayed quiet, trying to make up an excuse. "she's just a good friend, sejin."

manager sighed heavily before starting to say another sentence. "you may be talking about the truth, but jungkook, you know how judgemental people are. once fans or the news agency capture you two hanging out with each other not knowing the actual facts, your image might go down. we both know how obsessive our fans are."

"so? isn't it okay to hang out with a good friend? i'm human too!"

sejin cleared his voice. "it's not really okay when you're a worldwide star. jungkook, stay away from her. break off ties with her."

his heart stopped for a moment.

how could he stop when he just started loving her?

"hyung, you know i can't lose a good friend just like that."

"jungkook. listen to me, bts is now booming with popularity, and if this gets out, it wouldn't be safe to play around. you might even hurt her."

"sejin, i don't want to leave her."

"i'm sorry but you have to, it's according to the CEO's choice." 

"no."

"i'm sorry. i know you like her, i can tell she likes you too."

at this point, it sounds like jungkook is crying.

"no, sejin. don't do this to me."

"i need to."
