unit 110. jungkook's place.
yerim slurped the noodles so loudly it made jungkook turn his head to her direction in the middle of his precious-ramen-eating-session. they decided to head to jungkook's house just two minutes away from the cafe, for ramen instead after yerim's shift ended and jungkook went to meet her.
she noticed him staring at her. "am i being cute again?"
he shook his head. "i just, never really witnessed this behaviour a girl has. i mean slurping on noodles really loudly in front of a boy and stuff."
"you see, i have the tendency to be comfortable with someone right away, after i've known them for just a short time and that, i give the reason that i'm extra plus ordinary."
jungkook slightly chuckled at her answer, and turned back to his bowl of spicy ramen noodles. "do you live near the cafe?"
"walk out of your door, turn left and walk straight until you reach unit 115. and if you hear some rap music blasting out of that house, it's me."
jungkook smiled after her answer, and apparently, he actually doesn't know why. maybe it's because how different she is from other girls he's met, how she's shameless but it's that kind of good kind of shameless. and he loved that characteristic of hers.
then here went another loud slurp, which pulls her companion back into reality.
"mind a question?"
"nah."
"why do you always sit at that table in the cafe?"
he froze for three seconds, then answered her. "oh. i just, you know, like the vibe and the view from that table."
yerim scooped a small spoon of soup from the kimchi noodles and before putting it into her mouth, she replied. "if you're going to lie, try harder."
jungkook sighed, flustered. "i'm setting your name in my contacts to 'the human lie detector'."
yerim snorted at the corny nickname. "you don't want to tell me why? welp, it's okay though."
a wall of silence bulit between them for the first time since they've met each other but she shot the wall down with another question. "then is it okay to tell me why you're always ordering hot americano?"
her companion bit his lips gently, then scratching his nape sheepishly, he answered. "if i said that it was my all-time favourite drink, would you believe me, human lie detector?"
yerim laughed at the new nickname he was calling on her. "well, maybe."
"then i'll tell you the real reasons one day when i'm comfortable with it," he said confidently before gulping down the bowl of kimchi soup.
"sure, the day you tell me the real reasons, is the day i'll throw a party to celebrate my achievement on getting the answers to the questions i've wondered for over a year now."
jungkook laughed at her answer, once again. "god, you exaggerate too much."
"if kim yerim doesn't exaggerate in a conversation, kim yerim isn't kim yerim."
"here you go being extra again. hey, are you free on this coming sunday?"
"why?"
"come to our first performance for dna. sbs inkigayo. you're invited by bts."
her face lit up more, to excitement. "sure, i'll risk sneaking out of my shift to go see you guys."
jungkook smiled.
god, does he actually like her or does he like the idea of her?
