"oh right, i remember the promise you made."
jungkook looked towards yerim, and cocked his head towards one side. "promise?"
yerim licked the ice cream she was eating, and answered, "you told me you'll tell me the reason why you sit at the table in the cafe and why americano is your favourite drink."
jungkook gulped, as he forgot that he had made the promise earlier on in their friendship slash relationship. "do you know any yeoreum who visits the cafe regularly?"
yerim threw the wooden stick into the rubbish bin then she looked towards jungkook beside her. "kim yeoreum? she used to come frequently but i haven't seen her in like, a year?"
there was a wall of silence between them for a while, then jungkook gulped before answering. "yeoreum was my ex, we broke up in the cafe on that table."
yerim stayed speechless and just stared at him for a while. "was that why you were sobbing??"
he nodded, and smiled at her. "she broke up with me because she was concerned about my career, life and her. she was scared that if i kept on making my life all about her, i would lose focus on my career."
"that was two years ago, wasn't it?"
"yeah, two years ago. when bts wasn't as famous as right now."
yerim took his hand and held it, while patting it with her another hand. "are you okay?"
they stopped their tracks as jungkook laughed. "of course, i'm perfectly okay talking about it now! it was hard for a while, getting over her."
yerim shot a smile at him, reassured, "when did you get over her?"
"the day i met you again."
they both smiled at each other, and started laughing over jungkook's cheesy answer.
they started walking through the street again, holding each other's hand and the sounds of laughter could be heard as both of them joked around.
