"hey, rim."

the familiar voice she loved rang through her ears. she turned around with a smile, and saw him standing just a few centimetres away outside the payment counter, at the bookshop cafe she worked at in the neighbourhood where she and he lived.

"yo, jungkook. hot americano?"

"you know me."

yeri smiled once again, then pressed his order.

"i haven't seen you in like, three weeks? how's promotions?" yerim asked as she and jungkook chatted while yerim worked on a drink order behind the counter. he leaned on the counter, watching her work as he talked.

"they're going really well, ending in probably a week's time?"

"cool, so what are you guys up to after promotions end?" yerim said as she started to blend the mixture of the beverage.

"bang pd is going to give us a one-week break then we're flying to the states and staying there for two weeks."

"that's nice of him. tell the boys i wish them good luck for the remaining shows," she still focuses on the conversation with jungkook, no matter how busy she is.

"sure, rim. i will, thanks," jungkook answered with a nod, before sipping on his coffee again. then he remembered. "hey, before i forgot, here's a signed copy of our album."

yerim had just finished making the drink and called for the customer. her head shot to his direction faster than a ferrari and saw him taking a sealed album, with all their signatures on it.

"OH MY FUCKING GOSH, JUNGKOOK. THANK YOU!" she squealed in happiness, and rushed towards jungkook and took the precious album with two hands politely, slightly jumping in joy. "i swear the album was so good, i really liked mic drop and dimple. oh my god, i can't believe it, thank you, kook, AHHH I LOVE YOU!"

and he watched as his best friend fangirled over him and his group's album and smiled.

did she really mean it personally when she said she loves him? or is he just being dumb?

because he does. he loves her.
