8 MONTHS LATER. 

OCTOBER, THE SEASON OF FALL, 2018

"hey, do you remember when we first met?" yerim asked jungkook, who was just right next to her, his fingers intertwined with hers.

jungkook looked at her, and started thinking. "we met two years ago, right?"

"hmm yeah," yerim replied, a big smile on her face. "i thought you forgot."

he slightly chuckled in disbelief. "how could i ever forget? the first time we met was the time you gave me a packet of tissues because i was crying and after that day, you were gone for like, a year. then one year later, about the same time, we met again and this time you slammed my cup of americano on my table just bec—"

"okay, but did i ask?" yerim said, but the expression on her face contrasts to her statement. she was smiling shyly.

"awww, you are embarassed, aren't you?" jungkook teased as he put his face closer to hers.

"shut up."  

they kept walking, holding hands, as the crusty autumn brown leaves fell from their trees. they were almost alone in the street, it was early morning.

"why do you even love me?" yerim asked, and he immediately ceased, followed by her.

"hmm...because i just do," jungkook replied, and yerim looked forward again.

"hmm, you have a point, i don't even know why i love you too. i just do," she said, and jungkook smiled, planting a kiss on her cheek.

they continued walking, holding hands.

"isn't it amazing to have done so many things with one person in just a year?" yerim asked, and jungkook squeezed her hands, looking at her lovingly.

"it's amazing, because the person you're spending the year with is amazing and we're beyond amazing for each other, yerim."

yerim smiled widely at him and she fell for him all over again.

he continued.

"i can't wait to spend the fall of each year with you."

"me too, jungkook. me too."

and he swooped down and kissed her right on her soft lips.
