BTS' JUNGKOOK
REPORTEDLY NOT LEAVING THE GROUP

On March 5, 5PM KST, BigHit Entertainment released an official statement about Jungkook's departure from BTS. According to the statement, it was said that Jungkook has changed his decision, and not leaving the group for good. 

Jungkook also posted a personal letter sincerely written by himself on his Instagram as soon as the happy news broke out.

'Hello, this is Jeon Jungkook and at the same time, Jungkook from BTS.

I understand that you all must have been worried for me and BTS. The other day, I might have been reckless in making my decision to leave my six other brothers.

After 2 days of personal reconsideration and persuasion by people around me, I have chosen to take back my words, and I have decided not to leave the group.

I'm sorry to have worried, shocked, angered and surprised you all fans, who have been supporting BTS in whatever we do. I'm sorry to everyone I've hurt, and I hope to be a better version of myself in the coming future.

I'm also sorry to the one person I really love, if you are reading this, I'm really sorry.

Up until now, this is Jeon Jungkook, and Jungkook from BTS.

Thank you. I love you all.'

On March 3 12AM KST, BigHit Entertainment announced the news that Jungkook has decided to leave the group due to personal issues, which remains unknown. Netizens suspect it was because of issues between the members, but the disagreement remains strong, since the seven teammates have been together since they were teens and they are very close, off-cam or on-cam. Another suspicion is that he preferred to pursue to solo career, but still, plenty of fans don’t think that that is the case.

When the news broke out, the hashtag #ByeJungkookWeWillMissYou trended on Instagram and Twitter, and he has disabled all comments on his Instagram account since then.

Now, it is indeed a relief that he won't be leaving the group permanently.

BTS is now currently promoting in the States, and is scheduled to return to Korea by this weekend.
