Oh hey. Feeling like Santa. ;) ❁

Jen's POV

I join the others in Jared's trailer for lunch about ten minutes later. The door mat is soaking wet from all the snowy shoes that are left in the doorway, and everyone is huddling around the boxes of Mexican food on the table. Jared perks up when he sees me, as does Colin; he pierces me with one look, knowing perfectly well what that does to my heart.

I have a ridiculous smile on my face as I sit down next to Josh. He hands me a burrito, and I take it from him without diverting my eyes from Colin.

"Driving through this weather will be wickedly fun tonight," Lana says sarcastically as she glances out the window.

"Are we still going through with that?" Ginny asks.

She sounds concerned, and she has every reason to, but I frown at her. "What's happening tonight?"

"The loser of the class president competition is treating everyone tonight," Josh fills me in. "Jared wants to go bowling, so that's what we're doing."

"Oh." I try not to sound disappointed, but I know I fail miserably; I glance across the table again, just for a split second, and see Colin staring at me over his burrito.

Damnit. I love bowling, but... I want to be alone with him.

I want to hold him.

Feel his arms around me.

And it's the most thrilling thing in the world to have these thoughts when no one else around me is aware of what's going on. Except for Colin himself.

"You're insane, Josh. In this weather, we'll get ourselves killed." Ginny goes to grab another burrito, and she and Josh bicker teasingly for another five minutes, until he's convinced her that everyone will be fine and that the weather forecast said it would stop snowing tonight.

To be honest, I'm not too sure either. The snow keeps coming down, and later that afternoon, when we have a break between takes, the guys all go out to have a snow fight on the lot next to the stage.

Jared's tutor comes to collect the votes when the guys are in the midst of their snowball fight. Everyone gets to write either Colin or Josh's name on a little piece of paper, including the crew members who are on set today, and afterwards we all have to dump them in a bucket.

I'm struggling to write on the little paper with my stone-cold hands when a shadow suddenly falls over me.

"You're freezing."

My heart jolts inside my chest at the sight of him. Colin takes my hands in his, rubbing them together to warm them up. I look up into his eyes, and I notice his cheeks are red with exertion. I've been watching their snowball fight with Lana and Emilie, but it makes my heart flutter to have him standing right in front of me so suddenly.

He slowly leans into me, blowing hot air on our hands and looking up at me from under his lashes.

Fuck, that's exhilarating.

I look around. No one's paying attention to us.

Stepping just an inch closer, I get hold of his right hand and squeeze it. "I missed you."

He draws a sharp breath, trying to bite back his smile as he keeps rubbing my hands with his left. "I missed you too. It felt like five months."

"Are you coming over after the bowling game?" I let it out before I can stop myself.

He raises a brow. "I thought Rose was still staying over at your place."

Shite.

"Forgot about that. Damnit."

He chuckles, but his hand is no longer rubbing mine. He's just holding them now. I look down, and then I rub my thumb over his pinky.

We both hold our breaths.

And then it's over, because Keira, Jared's tutor, is coming our way with the voting bucket. Colin releases a sigh of tension when we both take a step back, and I quickly scribble down his name on the little paper.

"Good luck," I say to him as I put it in the bucket.

* * *

We wrap at six o'clock, but everyone stays on set a little longer to hear the results of the votes. Jared steps onto a chair to make sure everyone hears him when he holds up the bucket, Colin and Josh guarding him on both sides.

"So, after counting the votes and recounting them, we now have a winner. This person will be in charge of organizing the wrap party at the end of shooting season three, and he will also have full access to the candy drawer in my trailer."

The crowd that's gathered around him grins, and Josh stands up a little straighter to make himself even taller. Colin is just looking at the floor, hiding his smirk.

"The class president for this year is..." Jared looks around, increasing the tension, and pulls out a little paper with a name on it. "Mister... Colin O'Donoghue!"

Loud cheers rise up from the crowd of crew members and the cast, but Josh drops his jaw in offence. "What? What about the flyers I made?!"

"Too bad, bud." Colin slaps his shoulder, shakes Jared's hand and looks out over the crowd. "Thanks for voting, everyone! It's an absolute honor. Now let's go bowling. I've heard Josh is paying!"

A few crew members and Jared leave the room shouting excitedly. I follow Ginny and Lana to the exit, giggly telling them about Colin's trick that got him the presidency, and we're all in fits of laughter as we walk over the parking lot to our cars. I wave goodbye, telling them we'll meet again at the bowling hall, and I'm about to text Rose to see if she wants me to pick her up when I feel an arm around my waist.

"Gotcha."

I glance up at Colin, but he's already pulling me with him across the snowy parking lot. I check if anyone sees us, but everyone is getting in their cars to drive off, and I don't breathe until we halt in front of a black Audi I don't recognize.

"What are we doing?" I ask as he pulls open the passenger door for me.

"We're not going bowling."

"But we're supposed to—"

"Shush, Morrison." He leans in, holding the doorframe, and smirks as he gazes into my eyes. "We're not going bowling."
